The Eagles Nest is a small local cafe owned by Mike Chandler who adds local flair and humor to the environment while your eating. Known for his quick wit and dry humor Mike tells it like it is, but has a generous heart and supports the kids and the town 100 per cent. The food is great ,big chicken fried steaks, good pork chops, great BBQ when he cooks it. It is a specialty on certain days. The hamburgers will leave you wanting more and you never walk away hungry. The prices put other places to shame. You really get your moneys worth at the Eagles Nest. Its worth the short drive approximately 14 miles east of Temple on SH 36 .
