This hotel has a lot of history that they don't tell you about. This hotel was called "Hotel Texas" and is where JFK spent his last night alive before the infamous assassination. The hotel tries to hide from this, changing its name and not mentioning it anywhere. The rooms are recently renovated and are very nice. A bit of a strong paint smell, however, from the renovations. My favorite part was the pair of parrots in the front entryway. We have birds at home and we felt at home seeing two parrots having fun! This is a great locally owned business. Supporting locally owned businesses is always important to keep the local economy running strong!
