They are wildly dishonest, especially co-owner Erica Martin-Stewart, and NO ONE should be doing business with this company. If they break something -- or worse, endanger your life with their carelessness -- they will make promises to reimburse you then ignore you when you write and call to check the status of the payment. I set up an appointment for Dec. 5 and told Erica Martin-Stewart my boyfriend would be leaving work to meet her crew. They stood him up three times, despite that they knew he was leaving work to meet them. Unbelieveable! When they finally arrived, my boyfriend left Haleem in the house. Haleem promised to lock up and call my boyfriend when he left. Almost 24 hours later, my boyfriend received a voicemail message from Haleem saying he ""may have smelled some gas"" when he moved the stove. This was the next day! He left the gas running for 24 hours!!! The stove was 100% operable before E&H came to clean. There was tension on a supply line, but Haleem was warned about this -- both over the phone and in person. So, frantic, my boyfriend rushed home to find an overwhelming odor of gas when he opened the door. The whole house reaked of it! My boyfriend could hear the gas line hissing from the living room several feet away, leaving him to believe Haleem knew very well he had broken it. He called Haleem, who first tried to blame it on the tension in the supply line, but that theory was debunked when the repairman told us Haleem had broken another, separate gas line -- one that it would've taken great force to break. When my boyfriend asked Haleem why he hadn't called sooner, Haleem first said he mixed up my boyfriend's phone number with someone else's. When Haleem was reminded that his business partner Martin-Stewart had the number and he should've called her because this was an emergency, Haleem changed his story and said he had a meeting the following day, an excuse which doesn't even make sense. The gas was left running for almost 24 hours, endangering not only the lives of anyone near the house, but also the lives of HUNDREDS OF MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN WHO ATTEND CLASS ACROSS THE STREET! Haleem then offered to fix it himself but my boyfriend balked when Haleem failed to provide any credentials as a gas plumber. Haleem then said his friend could fix it, then refused to set up a day. My boyfriend called Martin-Stewart. She termed Haleem's actions ""unacceptable"" and promised to pay for the damage. She then quit returning my and my boyfriend's calls until Dec. 12 when my boyfriend threatened to call the Better Business Bureau. She then returned his call and promised to pay him $60 for his home warranty deductible, plus a fee for the excess gas. On Jan. 30, my boyfriend found out the gas company couldn't isolate one day's usage, so he very kindly told Erica to mail him the $60 for the deductible and they'd call it even. The next day, he e-mailed her the repairman's receipt for the $60. She wrote back, ""I will get that check out to you."" It turned out to be another lie in a litany of fabrications by Martin-Stewart and her co-owner. On Feb. 27, my boyfriend wrote Martin-Stewart again to check in. She wrote back the next day, apologizing and saying she had been busy moving her office. She concluded, ""I did get the email ... and we will get the check out to you. Once again I apologize."" Since then, he has written her a few more times, and she always has a new excuse.
