I use to dream of living in the servant quarters 4/4/2006

Living in this neighborhood as I was growing up, I would ride my bike down lakeshore drive right in front of this castle. I laugh now because I would see these tiny buildings towards the front of the yards and tell my parents that I wish I could live in those. They told me that that is where the servants lived. To me those were as elegant as the house itself which runs short of a mile right on Lake St. Clair. Tours for adults cost $8.00. If you want to see what it is like to live like the upper crust...take a look inside. more

Historic Landmark 8/5/2005

Visiting the Ford House is great. there is so much history in these walls its sickening. I love it, seeing how one of the greatest minds and innovators in the history of the world lived and being within those walls just imagining what went on is breathtaking. Check this one out, not really much to do...but a lot to see and imagine. If your imagination runs wild, let it stroll freely at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House... more
