Slam the door and run away! 11/4/2009

Ok. I broke my back @ work almost 1 year ago. I am in extreme pain, most of the time. The sales boy (barely 20) came to door with a sob story how he had to do 1 more demo today to get paid at the end of the month. He tells me haow people sick their dogs on him, etc.He tells me its a 30 min. demo, so I agree. This was 4:45pm. I told him I couldnt buy anything that expensive. He said it didnt matter. He has me try it, and after a few tries and a FEW HOURS my back is killing me, so I take my medicine, which makes me loopy. I told him he needs to leave, he said he had to make 2 more calls, blah blah. 5 hours later, to get him to leave, I agree to buy it. Now I have to send a telegram within 3 days? I could barely keep my eyes open, and they had me signing god knows what! I felt like they were going to stay here forever. Oh yeah, when he came to the door, he represented himself as a carpet cleaning company. Total BS. Rip off artists and Creeps. Dont buy anything from this company, and especially a guy named Daryell. Pros: You get to spend 4 0r 5 hours with strangers in your home Cons: You get scammed by real professional liars and cheats more

Be careful, and thank people here who warn 3/27/2009

It's incredible how a business can be run as a total joke, and lure in people who are seeking for a real job. \r \r Beware all those places where they have a ""Bo"" a ""Lu"" and a ""Al"" as interviewers.. 99% they are recruiters to get you into some scam. \r \r Beware of places that tell YOU to call THEM to know if you are hired. I called and they said YES, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU GOT THE JOB.... If I hadnt read this reviews I would have gone to this scam.\r \r Thanks to all the people who take their time to warn others about this scams. Pros: Quickest interview ever! Cons: Seems a scam from the beggining! more

hitting the kurb with kirby 11/1/2008

I was not that lucky!!!\r \r Kirby is the most horrible vacuum cleaner in the world! No vacuum would be worth that kind of money, \r ...and especially from people who will tell you anything to sale you one.\r \r I got stuck with mine. You could also get stuck!!!\r \r They will say anything to sale the Kirby-lemon, and if you have a death in your family and do not make the 3 days, you are out of luck! All you can do is write one of these essays stating how you were scammed by """"""well-trained scam artists."""""" more

Fun 9/26/2008

Dyro productions is a subsidiary of the kirby company (warren buffets company). It has been up and running for the last 10 years. Many a successful person has promoted from this exact office that alot of people seem to complain about. i happen to like the business and so does my soon to be fiancee (one of the ""poor slave driven starving running door to door girls""). This business is fantastic if you embrace it and go all in. If you just dip your feet in the water it might just be too cold. if this is really a scam it must just be hidden from me because as far as im aware the vice president of the company (kevin reitmeier, the one who deals with warren buffet in person) just sent me a letter in the mail congratulating me on getting my 5th month of 15 sales and getting on a program to open up my own office. If this is a dream please dont wake me up because I like the money it is bringing in. I'd rather be a millionaire the right way and have a million bucks as apposed to a million excuses like some of the other people!! We are always looking to hire good honest people, so if this sounds like you just give it a try!!! Pros: Big opportunity for advancement Cons: you actually have to work for it more

Job Scam Alert: Dyro Productions 7/2/2008

This company will interview anyone and attempt to lure the in with unreal fancy offers. They ultimately want you to go door-to door selling Kirby Vacuum cleaners. Consider this a warning! Anything that seems too good to be true usually is. If you interview with this company be sure to ask plenty of questions and make sure you get answers! They DON'T EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE! Very unprofessional and inconsistent. BE CAREFUL! \r Pros: None! Cons: False promises, unreliable, unprofessional! more

Horrible customer service & liars 6/13/2008

So I was one of those that thought buying a Kirby would be a good idea after a sales guy came to my door.\r I guess I have one good thing to say about it. It did work better than my own vacuum...\r BUT, anyway, they give you 3 business days to ""try"" it and if you don't like it they come pick it up. It took me TWO WEEKS for someone to come pick up their product, and all the while giving me the run around and me calling and calling and getting no calls back until I finally said that I had spoken with my bank and all it would take is a $29 stop fee payment and this company would never receive their money-Yeah THEN they called me back.\r Since initially they took my current vacuum in trade for the Kirby, when I FINALLY got them to come pick up their Kirby, they said there as no record of me having a trade in, but he said he had tons of vacuums like the one I described and that he would go get it for us...well even though it looked like the one we had, it definitly wasn't because the one they did give us sounds like the motor is about to explode.\r So all in all, I feel like we got screwed.\r 2 weeks of making phone calls over and over with no call back and a vacuum that doesn't even work!\r Don't answer the door, don't even let them in for a demonstration. They didn't even clean a ROOM like the said they would. They cleaned a spot that was about 3 sq feet x 3 sq feet, then a little piece of my hallway.\r FYI-Oh yeah, Josh was the demo guy and Kris was is older brother-the manager of the whole sales group. Both of whom NEVER returned my calls either, even after I had both their number if I had ""ANY"" questions at all.\r \r What a bunch of bs! Pros: expensive Cons: annoying, cons more

never answer your door!!! 4/17/2008

i don't recommend ever doing business with this company. this company is a joke. i worked for them and in the interview they don't even tell you what you will be doing. you don't get paid hourly or salary, it is terrible working conditions. you work from 10am until about 11pm. without a real break in between. they allow you snacks but you never have time to finish a bag of chips. you go in to people's houses by lying to them and telling them you will clean their carpet for free. when it's awhole scheme to sell you a kirby vacuum cleaner. it takes forever to get them out of your house. they dont take no for an answer. and the poor girls they have knocking on the doors, luring the potential customer into agreeing to a demonstration with the spiel that they are a carpet cleaning company that just moved to the neighborhood and want to clean 1 room for you for free to see how you like them and maybe keep them in mind down the road. when all the while they won't even clean a whole room for you, they are supposed to be in your house for 2 hours trying to sell you the vacuum. they start pricing off at $2,000. then they bargain down. it is a very dangerous job for those poor girls knocking on the door, they are told to run between houses, stepping on peoples flowers, running thru their lawns, they get yelled at if they are seen walking. it is a terrible company, to do business with or work for. they are liars, and jerks all they want is to get you to buy this vacuum cleaner. those poor girls who knock on the doors don't get paid unless a door they knock on sells a kirby. they don't get any breaks either. it is a evil company, i'm surprised people stay working for those money hungry asses for more than a day, avoid answering your door if they come knocking!!! more
