Worst car dealership I've seen in over 50 years 11/28/2007

Without even taking my 07 Mazda's engine apart to see what was wrong with it, Dworkin Chevrolet Mazda determined the engine failure (knock) was my fault and they would not be fixing it under warranty. Mazda USA backed them in this irresponsible decision. I'm a manufacturing engineer and a mechanic. In order to determine root cause failure of anything you have to closely examine the failed components. No one can determine root cause of a failure by just looking at a car. Additionally, Mazda refused my Auto Zone Receipts for 3 oil changes, saying they had to have the VIN number and mileage on the Auto Zone receipt in order to be covered repairs. Who gets that? No one!!!! During the casting &manufacture of component parts, things are machined in secondary operations to the casting of say a crank shaft. They have to be drilled and machined to create oil and coolant passages. Improper cleaning all that coolant, chips and residual sand out of these components is a major cause of engine failures. This says nothing about engine assembly mistakes which could have happened. But Dworkin determined it was my fault because my engine was ""too clean"" and I must have cleaned it to cover up something. They also said my oil was too clean. And, worst of all, they found a single drop of oil on the back under carriage of the car. Clearly indicating a cover up on my part. Yeah, right! I have changed the oil 3 times since new, with a total of 11,000 miles on the new car. Beware the new tactic to refuse warranty repair on cars which you do ?home done? oil changes. Automobile manufacturers give incentives to dealers to keep the warranty costs down wherever possible. A hell of a way to treat a loyal customer. Pros: They're close by Cons: They lie as necessary to avoid warranty repairs more
