Perfect size for little kids 1/15/2006

Dutch Wonderland is open for special hours during the Christmas season and it's a great family outing. They have about 10 of their rides open including the train and the merry-go-round. Everything is lit up with twinkling lights. Santa is available (for and extra charge) and the princess of Dutch Wonderland has regular storytimes inside, just when you need a break from the cold! Make sure to get some yummy kettle corn! more

Nice Family Park! 10/25/2005

Dutch Wonderland is a beautiful amusement park set up for family fun! It is landscaped beautifully and showcases the Dutch way of life in the surrounding area. They offer a spacious gift shop with friendly staff. The rides are safe and fun for children of all ages. They also offer a wide selection of food and beautiful areas in which to rest. It is well worth a day trip to visit this park! more

Awesome fun for kids 10/25/2005

Dutch Wonderland is a really cute amusement park on route 30 in Lancaster County. They are defintley a smaller scale amusement park. They only have one roller coaster which is pretty uneventful called the Sky Princess. It's good for kids but not for adults who are used to the big coasters. My favorite ride is the little house that appears to go upside down. You go in and sit on a bench that swings back and forth. It creates the illusion that you are going upside down. Really what happens though while you are only swinging back and forth is that the actual outside of the house spins around. It's a pretty old ride and a lot different than those you find at other amusement parks. Dutch Wonderland has an old charm. It is definitely a good family fun day. more

Great place for kids, great bday parties 10/5/2005

This park is great for the younger kids; if you have teenagers, they will probably be bored. There are not a lot of "game stands" like at bigger amusement parks. Dutch Wonderfuland does nice birthday parties; we went to one over the summer and it was no work at all of the parents. I have no idea how much they paid, though. more

family fun 9/30/2005

this is an awesome place to take the family at a reasonable cost. they have many different rides and for each size of your family. kids, teens and adults. the food is pricey, but isn't that everywhere LOL My kids love to go. More than some *other* places. And you can always find a discount ticket somewhere. more

Great Fun for the Little Ones 9/11/2005

Our family really enjoyed our trip to Dutch Wonderland this summer. Only 1 1/2 hours from suburban Philadelphia, this place is a throw back to the amusement parks of old. Be advised that this place is geared for the <10 set. If your kids like tons of roller coasters and upside down rides, this is not the place for you. There are lots of kiddie rides, some shows and other attractions. For older kids, the Princess wooden roller coaster and log flume are sure to please. This year, we were thrilled to find a new water playground was added. Just let me say, this playground was very, very well done. It was safe and surprising. It had the adults laughing and playing! We didn't want to leave. One of the down sides is that the concession stands are staffed by local teenagers with no sense of urgency, so expect lines at the food stands. Another thing I don't like is that there are too many games where you need to shell out additional money, after you already paid for admission. more

The Wonder of Dutch Wonderland 9/1/2005

My children are now at the age that Dutch Wonderland is a happy memory. We went every year, if my husband had to work my neighbor and I went together, she with her two children, I also had two. They would often have updates and additions, but it wouldn't have mattered if it was always the same. We had a wonderful time, all the same rides and then a few new items. Everything is just the right size for a younger child. The price is fairly reasonable and it is exciting, but not frightening. You'll love Dutch Wonderland, remember if you have fairly young children you're going to need a stroller. more

Great Park for the younger crowd 8/29/2005

This is a great park for younger children, toddlers and adolescents. It has lots of rides even 3 year olds can ride. The cost is fairly inexpensive and it is located off of Rte 30 in the middle of all the rest of the touristy stuff. Theres plenty of parking and it is owned by Hershey so it is well maintained and looks nice. Theres also a huge dragon themes all the way around the park that children love. more

We love Dutch Wonderland! 8/24/2005

Although it is a bit pricey, Dutch Wonderland is a wonderful place to take your children. We have season passes and go nearly every week, so we know the rides well. There is a good variety of rides for ages 1 up to 10 or 12. After that point, some of the older kids might get a little bored. My four year old loves it! There is also a small water park for all ages and tube rides (that I love!) There is always the train, boat rides, and monorail to ride and the antique cars to drive for those grandparents if they are lacking energy! Also a diving show. You can definitely make a day of it. I'd highly recommend it and I think children 2 and under are free. more

Wonderful Experiences 8/8/2005

Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park is a very easy place to enjoy. It has a nice water park located inside it so you can cool off in the hot weather. This place is ideal for littler children because they have the rides for them that most amusement parks don't have. I would definitely recommend this park to people who want a nice relaxing day. more

Great for Young Children/Toddlers 8/6/2005

We have taken my son, who is 3 now, the past 2 years and he has a blast when we go. This park does not have all the huge roller coasters as its counterpart, Hershey Park. It is, however, have a ton of rides that are for younger children (trucks, dump trucks etc. nothing that goes exceptionally high or fast). Duke's Lagoon is a water park located inside of Dutch Wonderland which is wonder to take a break at and relax and cool off. Parking is free which is always a plus. more

Spend a day in Lancaster County 7/27/2005

This is another nice amusement park. This park is more towards the younger crowd then Hershey Park. But there is still a lot for everyone to do. The park is well maintained. There is a whole section with water rides. There are a few roller coaster type rides for the more daring riders. Plenty of shade is available for rest stops. A variety of restaurants are available inside the park. You can pack a lunch and eat at picnic tables that are outside the park. There are a few shows. One demands audience participation. The kids love that. There is also a diving show that is a must see. more
