I tried that place twice. Both times the food was cold. The lady manager Matty, I think, was VERY rude to my wife. I will not come back as long as that woman is working there. The first time I was there was for the show King and I. The manager at that time was a man. He helped my wife get her food. He checked on us several times and joked with the tables. He is why we came back the second time. I might consider going back if I knew in advance what manager will be there. more

Big entertainment in a little town 2/16/2008

I am always surprised by the level of talent we see in the shows at Dutch Apple. It's been in business around 20 years or so, and the seasons get better and better. The food is very good - buffet style. My son loves their pudding. They offer all kinds of different shows throughout the season, and there is something for every age group. Try to book a seat near the middle of the theatre for best sound... more

Great actors/food, seating is crowded 10/14/2005

I have been to Dutch Apple several times and will go again. The entire experience is great, they have trained and talented staff, from the front door to the end of the buffet line. My only concern, and I feel this each time I go, is that some of the seating is a bit crowded. It is like they put a few too many tables on the floor; I know it is about making money but it can be difficult to move your chair to see the stage. I guess if you call when a show is first selling tickets you can get right up front. However, I was once told they are season ticket holders who get those seats??? more

Great Shows 7/27/2005

My in-laws bought my husband and me tickets one year as part of our Christmas present. I had never been to a show previously. The performers, costumes and music no the show overall was just marvelous. Although they get quite a few bus groups, there is plenty of room and we did not feel like we were crowed. The buffet was fine nothing spectacular. But as I learned most people go for the show and that was unbelievable. A true gem. more

Great dinner theatre and buffet 5/31/2005

We have enjoyed visiting the Dutch Apple Theatre on our many trips to the Lancaster area. We have see Nunsense II and The King and I. The lunch/dinner buffet is wonderful and the shows are always a pleasure. The theatre is clean and comfortable and there is plenty of parking in their lot. Call ahead for tickets, as they sometimes get big tour groups that can limit your choices. more
