I just recently moved into the bay area and have had the hardest time finding a salon that i love. i finally walked into Dustin David Salon and could tell just by the way i was greeted and taken care of in the first 10 min that this salon was going to be it. My experience there just kept getting better and better and i walked out with the greatest hair cut i've ever had, and it was done by a jr. stylist!! The staff there is an excellent team, they work very well together to help eachother out, they share suggestions and techniques, overall it was an awesome experience. I got my hair done at Dustin David Salon last week and it was awesome! I don't think there is a single salon in Los Gatos that is excellent in every asspect. The customer Service, front desk, hair styling ability, and atmosphere of this salon are all top notch. It's a high end salon but not one person in there made me feel uncomfortable or like i didn't belong. Even the clients there are fun and friendly! By far the greatest thing about the salon is that the team work is outstanding. Everyone gives their advice and input so you walk out with the best hair that you could possibly have! I first came to the salon as a model for one of the classes about 4 years ago and I've been coming ever since. - even when I moved to Los Angeles for two years...I'd be sure to time it out right for hair appointments. Jessica is my stylist now & I've pretty much given her creative control to do whatever she wants.....the cut is super-fast to dry and style.....and I haven't had this great color since I was 7 with natural highlights... :) you won't find better anywhere else. so go here!! Once upon a time, i was the type of girl who never went to the same salon/stylist more than once...After getting my hair cut and colored at Portfolio for the first time i knew right away that i would be going back. I have been going to Dustin for four years now. At first i had limitations....i dindt want it any shorter than a certain length, i didnt want certain colors...etc. But after just a few experiences with Dustin he started gaining my trust. He use to listen very carefully about what i wanted and needed... Now, when i go in...i listen to what he wants for me...and now i let him do whatever the heck he wants. Each time i am more and more amazed... Portfolio recently moved to a new location and is under a new name, Dustin David Salon. The old location was small and had a more industrial feel. The new location is more high end, classy.....but by all means they cater to ALL clients...from the funky crazies to the business professionals. Its so diverse!!!!! The staff is SUPER SUPER friendly......the receptionists are so helpful with fitting you into their busy busy schedule...dustin is booked out til forever! But just cus you cant get an appointment with Dustin doesnt mean that you shouldnt make an appointment with another stylist because honestly......everyone is exceptional and is trained by Dustin himself!!! And also, if ur a student or if you just dont want to spend that money for hair, they have classes 3 times a week for their apprentices. I told my niece about it...so she decided to give it a whirl.....and shes super excited about it because now she has the coolest hair out of all her friends and she pays the least! Seriously.......u need to try this one out....ud be missing out on so hot hair if u dont! more

Having moved to Los Gatos from southern california I had very little expectations on the quality of service I would find at a salon here in town. Needless to say, I was very impressed to discover Dustin David Salon and their incredible staff of stylists. Not only was I greeted with kind and courteous salutations from the front desk, they referred me to their senior stylist Jasmine Collins. Who in turn was the best stylist I have ever encountered. Jasmine listened to my concerns both regarding my hair and my lifestyle. ALSO, her assistant Lauren gave me THE BEST SHAMPOO EVER! I have never felt anything so relaxing. And again, coming from southern california, I have been to many ""high-end"" salons....Dustin David Salon IS the real deal. more

Through torturous days of research online, I found Portfolio on the web. Their website was incredible,so I decided to call. The gentleman on the phone was so upbeat, curteous, and so generous with his time to console me with my problem, and fit me in the next day, I was immediately impressed. I went in with brown hair, and came out a beautiful honey blonde! How they did it is magic to me. I was treated with the best customer service, and smiles all around. My stylist Linda has 30 years under her belt, and she did an amazing transformation and makeover on me. I am forever grateful. If you are looking for a top-noch, high quality product, excellent customer service, and amazing location, go to Portfolio salon (now its named Dustin David Salon). Nothing will ever compare!!!!! So I just moved here from Scottsdale Arizona and had a hair stylist there that I loved- I would fly from San Jose to Phoenix just to get my hair done..... So I was thinking it would be nice to have someone local and that would do a great job- I took a chance with portfolio and Sean the front desk suggested Jasimine and I was a little apprehensive at first but as soon I came in and got the haircut- I was more than happy. I would reccommend this place to anyone but make sure you communicate with your stylist because with any salon you need to let them know what you want. This place is awesome!!! Sean the front desk coordinator talked with me about my concerns and needs and told me that Linda would be just the person to help, and wow, she really was. I love my cut and color.
