The Duquesne Incline is a unique attraction in Pittsburgh. The Incline goes up to Mt. Washington and is functioning transportation for locals as well as tourists. They have a nice staff that will talk to you and show you the cables, history, and so on of the incline. There is a nice overlook where you can see the downtown from. The gift shop is small but they have cute mementos. You can visit any day of the week, but if you visit on a weekend, sometimes the cars don't fill up and run as frequently as they do during the weekdays when everyone is using it for transportation.
