The repair involved diagnosing the symptom (clutch pedal went to floor, didn't return), then replacing the clutch master and slave cylinders, refilling fluid & bleeding system. I thought the overall cost of the diagnosis and repair was excessive - $512 including a $53 AAA discount. The diagnosis was $95, with another $238 in labor costs to replace the two cylinders. The cost of the parts seemed excessive as well - $152 for the master cylinder and $44 for the slave. A quick survey online shows these parts are available for 1/2 those prices. Given the car's age and high mileage, after-market parts would have been preferred.
