You'll like it 2/24/2006

The Maryland Zoo is a great place to spend the day. They have some interesting exhibits, like the polar bears and the monkeys outside. The zoo could use a little updating, as they are heavy on the wrought iron bars to cage the animals. I got the impression on several trips to this zoo that the animals are well cared for. Admission price is high. more

Always a winner 2/1/2006

As a former Bostonian, I am used to walking no less than a block and seeing a Dunkin' Donuts--so I was particularly pleased to find a few here in Baltimore. The shop on 41st street provides the same familiar facade, however I find that the service in this shop leaves something to be desired. Their menu is the same granted, but I've often found employees to be fairly unpleasant. All the same, I go there frequently--a good cup of coffee is really all that matters at the beginning of my day. more

Great Zoo! 10/28/2005

Only a few minutes from the Inner Harbor, this zoo has a lot to offer the young and old. The one problem I find is that the zoo is very hilly and it can be hard to walk up and down it all day. They started the tram again, which helps getting around the zoo much easier. The new poar bear exhibit is exciting and amazing to visit. I really like the penguin exhibit, especially when it's feeding time. The trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this zoo! more

not as nice as the DC zoo 8/6/2005

I have been to this zoo several times in the past 10 years,and it hasn't improved. Most of the exhibits are hard for kids in a stroller to see,so I suggest waiting until they are a little older. If your in the mood for a real experience go to the National Zoo in Washington,DC,its a much better zoo. But if your not in the mood for the drive and the kids need a day out,try this zoo. Make sure to pack drinks and food in a cooler,the prices are outrageous in the park. more
