Inside Duluth 9/21/2004

We had a great time exploring; MN point, Wisconsin point, Seven Bridges Road, Hawk Ridge. Canal Park was crowded so we stayed away. THe mall was huge! Pros: free activities, exploring, nice mall more

A must see! 11/3/2002

Duluth is a wonderful getaway for those looking to experience the beatuy of Lake Superior, the romance of old lighthouses, northern minnesota's immense history and of course the weather! There is a plether of things to experience year round and you are guarenteed to be treated well while visiting the north shore. Anyone who leaves here disappointed is crazy! I highly recommend Duluth at must see for all. Pros: Friendly, clean, variety Cons: parking more

Highlights of Duluth 10/11/2002

I used to live in Duluth, and let me tell you that I keep in in mind greatly. There are many wonderful things to do in the area including the trip up the North Shore to see the leaves change, and the beauty of Canal Park and the rose gardens in the summer. It is definately a place that you must visit if you haven't been there before. The lift bridge is wonderful for those of you who haven't seen anything like it before. The lakeshore is beautiful no matter what time of day you take it in. Pros: restaurants, attractions more

My Home Away from Home 9/16/2002

The thrill starts as you come around the curve on 35 and see Lake Superior, the beautiful bridges and the city spred out for miles, it literally takes your breath away. I like to walk along the lake from Bayfront Park all the way to Lief Erickson Park, take in the rose gardens, then stop at Fitzgers for lunch and shopping. Canal Park is great for food, shopping, museums, boat rides and ships arriving. The Bayfront Blues Festival is one of the ten best in the country. I could go on and on! Pros: a short trip, something for everyon, never boaring Cons: hotel prices in summe, winter driving, having to go home more

A Superior Place to go 9/4/2002

What a treat, whether we're visiting friends or just sightseeing. Duluth is a treasure for weekenders. It's so close to the cities yet completely different. Majestic is the word that comes to mind. There's no way one can drive over the hill and view the greatest of the great lakes without feeling like it was made by something greater than man. It's just not available elsewhere. We just love going to Duluth, try it for a day or a weekend. more

We're not in Kansas anymore 8/21/2002

I drive 600 miles to spend a weekend in Duluth. It's romantic, entertaining, easy to get around and relatively cheap! Hotels are great and scenary is breathtaking in any season. I think I'm the unofficial Dultuth tourism respresentaitive in Kansas. I know I've had at least 25 friends/couples take the trip! Pros: scenary, sounds, culture Cons: smells, drunks, icy hills more

C'est magnifique! 8/21/2002

Beautiful landscapes, fun attractions, interesting shops. You will love every bit of it! more

NOOOO NOT DULUTH!!! 8/9/2002

SUPERIOR LAKE IS NOT THAT EXCITING!!! If you want to walk around a windy lake...and just enjoy seeing a large body of water because you've never seen an Ocean? Ok...visit Duluth. However, it's kind of boring. The downtown area is dead...and not much is happening. But, for a relaxing time it's a nice LONG drive up from the Twin-Cities. Don't stay at the Raddison there. BAD service for an overrated hotel. Pros: Lake Superior, Far away from TC Cons: Far away from TC, Slow pace, Not much to see more

I Love Duluth!! 8/8/2002

My friends and I went to Duluth, walked along the lake walk and then bought tickets to ride the train up to the Lester River and back. It was such uninhibited fun! There is also a train ride in the west end by the zoo that we are going to try the next time. There are so many nice places to eat, it was hard to decide but we chose the Green Mill in Canal Park. It was great! Pros: Good parking, Fun stuff to do, perfect weather more

Excellent Choice 8/2/2002

The Great Lakes Aquarium is a very unique new attraction for this area. Pros: easy to navigate more

calming 8/1/2002

THE place to get away from it all, if you want to just relax or explore, Duluth has it all. The scenic drive there is well worth the time spent and a time to be able to reconnect with the improtant people in your life. Pros: slower pace, cooler temps, easy access to attrac Cons: some expenses-excess more

Relaxing 7/29/2002

Duluth has tons of antique shops, shopping, and scenic areas to look at. Pros: scenery, parking, low crowds Cons: distance, can get cold more

Fine place to visit... 6/23/2002

Duluth is a nice, quaint little town for the people of the Twin Cities, and a nice place for a little ""get-away"" with your friends or family. It holds a lot of interesting day-trip attractions, but it's not as much fun to stay in for a long time. It's a nice place for the outdoor type people, but for city-life lovers it is a disappointment. Very little for shopping, with only one mall (half of which is a car dealership) and a few scattered stores. Lovely to look at, but dull to live in. Pros: Beautiful Scenary Cons: Limited Health Care, Expensive more
