Great setting and food! 8/4/2010

This is a great place. I love the bar and the lower priced menu option, but the restaurant end it great too. Fresh Fish and a mai tai. more

Good food, but very expensive 1/4/2010

The view here during a sunset is the best around. Everything else here seems to be sub-par. The service is very slow and you always seem to have to ask 2 or 3 time for anything. The food is overpriced...I guess they have to charge more to pay the chefs for making the plate look pretty. Overall the portions are to small for the price you pay. Nice for a 1st date or something. Pros: Great location and Hula pie Cons: Prices and service more

Food is over cooked 8/4/2009

First we had to sit in the bar area with children (self seating). Then our drinks were watered down and we had to request that our drinks be replaced. Two people in out party ordered fish and it was over cooked and again we had to order something else. I would not recomend Duke's nor will I ever rerturn. more

Great Location, OK Food 3/16/2009

Right on the beach and across from Main St., Duke's has a great location. It's always packed in the summer and usually busy throughout the year. I recently went there for a friend's birthday. They couldn't accommodate for a party our size (30 people) at one table so we had 4 separate tables. When we arrived, all the tables were reversed, 3 together and one on the other side of a wall. You couldn't even see the fourth table. At first we only sat at the 3 tables that were together, a couple people were running late, so they gave the last table away and the manager said that he would give us another table in a few minutes. After the rest of the party arrived, we asked if we could have the tables adjacent to out 3 tables and his response was ""do whatever you want"" and he walked away. I understand that we weren't the easiest group to deal with, but I didn't expect that response from a manager. The food was ok, but overpriced. The mai tais are good, but I think you are really paying for the view, which was great. They have there own parking lot Valet or $1.50/hour at the machine. Pros: Location Cons: Food, Managers more

Go for the bar 6/14/2007

The barefoot bar is a really fun experience and they do have good drink specials during the week. The food is okay if you're looking for something to snack on while you have drinks but don't count on this place for a satisfying full meal Pros: Fun place to drink Cons: Food isn't great more

Wannabe Hawaiian 9/21/2006

I will take my hat off to the interior designer, but everything else about it is wannabe Hawaiian. One example. The Poke Rolls. Poke in Hawaii means marinated raw fish. Their Poke Rolls are cooked. The food is obviously made for the caucasian palette. If you want to go for the interior design and ambiance, go for it, but for a truly Hawaiian experience, this is not it. Pros: It's Oceanfront Cons: Wannabe Hawaiian more

BEST EVER! Dont Miss Dessert 6/8/2006

What is there not to rave about when talking about Duke's, head for the barefoot bar instead of the restaurant and see for your self how amazing this place is! After a bite to eat and definately one of their drinks, save room for their FABULOUS hula pie, it's the best ever! more
