Duffy's Hardwood Floors

When we were looking for new hardwood floors, one name kept coming up. We called Duffy's. We were blown away by the work these guys did on our new floors. It looks like we live in a different house. Bob kept us informed every step of the way. We are very happy with our decision to use Duffy's. The compliments keep pouring in from family and friends. I would highly recommend Duffy's Hardwood Floor. They put in our hardwood floors when we built our house and came back a number of years later to to a touch up. They did an excellent job. I was also impressed by how well they covered everything and cleaned up after. It made putting everything back in place so much easier. I appreciated that. more

What a piece a work this business is.Bob and Cindy Duffy don't stand behind their product. No longer do they care that you are the customer they just want their money.We decided to hire them to install our hardwood floors.We had very young installers who left big gaps between courses and cut into floor vents really really poorly.They then used a wood filler all over the floor that was not a good match.On top of this, Bob Duffy mismeasured our floor so they then ran out of wood about 3/4 the way through.In addition to clumping sap wood in areas rather than spreading it evenly through the floor they ordered more wood to finish and we realized very quidkly that wood is similar to carpet die lots. It doesn't necessarily work to order more later because it doesn't blend.They begrudgingly pulled up a few sap wood pieces and layed the mismatched last 1/4 - which we are living with as a gesture of comprimise.Bob Duffy stormed out of our house like a 5 year old when we let him know that we were unhappy with the floor and wanted a discount.Even after they had to come back to fix parts of our floor the installers actually layed the last piece on top of a clump of glue so we couldn't trim out our home.They had to come back AGAIN!The very next day we received a nasty call from Cindy Duffy saying that we owed them the rest of the money and we had 24 hours to pay.She also informed us that she was going to charge a finance fee plus a $250 late charge.All because we were unhappy?What the heck?Her own staff informed us that she and Bob threaten liens on their customers all the time. If we had the time we would file a law suit and not pay these idiots (we may still file the suit after we are done building our house and close on it).Look at all avenues of customer reviews, such as one that this site won't allow me to list.They have 3 unsatisfactory ratings which I wish I saw before hiring them.They are soon to have 4! Unbelievable how they make their shawdy work the customers problem. Pros: They are local and we wanted to give them a shot first. Cons: Dispicable treatment to their customers more
