My ten year old Viking dishwasher completely stopped working one day. I called Appliance Repair Staten Island to see if I could try to get it repaired and they sent over Alex. He was really great, very polite and was very careful when taking apart the machine so as to not damage it or the cabinets it was built into. After taking a look, he told us that the control board needed to be replaced, and that the part usually runs around $400. Since the machine was so old, he recommended replacing the entire washing machine as opposed to just the part because the repair would coast about half of a new one. I appreciated that he let me know all of this information right away instead of blindsiding me with an exorbitant price midway through the repair. We wound up going with a new Bosch dishwasher and we couldn’t be happier. more
