Great wine! 8/9/2005

My husband and I went to Duck Walk Vineyards for a wine tasting and were not disappointed. They had us taste about 4-5 different wines and gave an accompaniment for each - cheese, crackers, chocolate, etc. We'd mark which ones we liked the best and how they tasted - fruity, sweet, etc. In the end, you went through their store and could buy whatever wine you wanted at a good price. We had a very nice time there. I'd like to go back & do a full tour next time -without the kids! more

Upon reaching Duck Walk vineyards you are treated to free wine tasting of any of the delicious wines grown on the surrounding vineyards. After this you are given a tour of the whole grounds and you see how the plants are grown, grapes are picked and quality tested, and how the wine is made and bottled. It is fun even for kids, and takes about half a day to go through the whole tour. At the end you are given the opportunity to buy some wine at a premium price that you know is extremely fresh and good tasting.This is a great place to take the family for a relaxing and refreshing few hours. more
