I'm not deep south- or KC-bred, but I know good bbq when I have it, and Duck Deli definitely has it. They do it North Carolina style, with big meaty tender ribs done in an apple vinegar sauce, served dry with sauce on the table. I'm an eater, but the platter of only 6 ribs & two sides was more than enough for me. Might be a little pricey at $16.99 for that, but the result was good enough for me to want to go back, regardless.\r

My wife (who does know southern cooking) had the hush puppies and said they might be the best she'd ever had. All in all, if you're out in that neck of the woods and looking for bbq, I'd highly recommend it.
