This is a classy, little museum for a small city. It has two floors of gallery space. It offers art classes for both adults and children. The big draw of the collection is work of Grant Wood, an Iowa artist. Parking is adjacent to the museum and convenient. There is an admission charged, but Thursday is free admission day. more

Grant Wood Art 8/9/2005

This is a good place to take the children for an educational tour of art. They have a lot of Grant Woods paintings. He is the local famous artist. You can also find out about other places you can visit where he lived, worked and went to school. This summer they are featuring work by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. I really loved see the items created by Wright. You will need to contact them to find out what the current exhibit is. The admission fee isn't too bad. It is free for children 12 and under. more
