Du Jour really needs to learn how to cook their meat properly. A friend and I both ordered salads for a late dinner ? she ordered a salad with steak, I got a salad with chicken. The steak on my friend?s salad was EXTREMELY undercooked ? it was very red/bloody-looking. The chicken on my salad was EXTREMELY overcooked/seemed to have been reheated several times; all of the chicken pieces were very tough, and a few pieces were so tough that they were absolutely unchewable/inedible.
To the restaurant?s credit, the waitress took my friend?s steak back and re-cooked it when she asked to have it cooked more. Being that the chicken in my salad was overcooked, I just ate the pieces which were edible, assuming that I would not get sick from overcooked meat. Unfortunately, not too long after the dinner my stomach started feeling iffy, and I later woke up with severe stomach pains. This place should work on serving meat that is fresh (not reheated multiple times) and cooked properly. Until then, I will not be returning.
