Dreamland Bar-B-Que started in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was made famous when football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant used to take his football players there for Bar-B-Que. The Mobile Branch of Dreamland is just as good as the original. It's a carnivore's delight and you can watch them loading the wood up to smoke the ribs and meat. Try the sides too, they're delicious. And the beverage portions are generous enough to fill up a football player. The location is a little hard to find. You could just follow your nose off the Springhill Ave. exit from I-65. No matter how you get there, just get there and have some Bar-b-que. more

The slogan says it all! Great ribs, down home atmosphere, and one of the best barbecue sauces around! It's spicy, but man is it good! They used to only offer ribs & white bread, but in the past few years they've added baked beans & slaw, probably more because people asked than because they needed to. All you really need are ribs & white bread! It's a great place for the taste of Alabama barbecue! more
