Drastic Plastic has a wonderful selection of records and pipes. The owner is a really nice guy and I have no idea why a couple other people gave it bad reviews. I have been going here for years and I LOVE this place. I have recommended this business to my friends, and they love it too. more

Wish everybody was as help full, just cash but fair prices, a little bit of everything its way beyond a record store, great place to shop! make sure if your an open-minded person to go there! great hours 11am to 7pm m-sat more

A little sketchy... 1/6/2009

A little wary of this place - they don't even have a till, and they only take cash. The last time I made a purchase here i ended up waiting as patiently as I could while the shopkeeper fished my change out of a box under the counter. There's not really anything here - they are billed as a record shop, but I've never found anything that piqued my interest. Their glass is relatively expensive as well. I go to Drastic Plastic to purchase hookah coals and shisha, but only because they are close - right on 6th avenue between Cedar and Pine. \r \r Overall, a little sketchy. Keep that in mind when perusing this establishment. more

terrible customer service on the phone 8/21/2008

I just called the store asking questions the man on the phone was rude and didnt want to answer my questions. He said abruptly he had to get back to work and hung up without answering my question. Pros: like the records Cons: rude bad customer service more

Review by "Jack J" is dead wrong 6/18/2007

Excellent selection of handpipes, especially the color-changing glass ones, and hookahs. Very cheap shisha. "Jack J" probably wanted something illegal and got cranky when he couldn't get it.\r \r Store is big, but not cramped; it's more like Castle, but for pipes.\r \r As for the the records, probably as many as all other Tacoma stores put together--and in good shape. more

they list them selves as a record store, but really they are just a bong shop. not real selection, and the prices very from customer to customer. Terrible owner and dirty store. more
