My 21 yr old son started Pirate Camp in elementary school, eagerly looked forward to returning each summer, worked his way up to a counselor position, and has used his Pirate skills of public speaking, creativity, teamwork and making fun where ever you land to help him in college and at work. And you have to appreciate the Chobots' teaching of etiquette to their Pirates! YaHa! more

Yaha! 8/16/2005

Year after year, it seems that DragonFire Pirate Camp just keeps getting better and better. A summer day camp for kids Kindergarden through 5th grade (with special exceptions for a small number of alumni up through 7th grade), the camp runs in 11 1-week sessions for the duration of summer. It's difficult to describe what makes its kids so happy to come back again and again, but maybe it's the 3 story lookout tower. Or the daily carnival. Or the chopping up of clothes on the first day to make them into pirate rags. Whatever it is, rest assured that camp will be booked solid less than a week after the schedule has been mailed to the current mailing list. more
