CD's, Records, DVD's and more 7/12/2006

Dr. Wax has a gigantic collection of CD's, making up most of the store, but there is also a vinyl section that isn't very large but covers the basics. I can't seem to recall if they have tapes, but they do have a bunch of rock posters hanging on the walls that are available for purchase. The people at the counter also seem to know what they're doing and to be able to tell you what you're looking for and recommend things. Overall, a fun local place to definitely support. more

Great Used Music 8/19/2005

I found this place when looking for Christmas music for a party. Dr. Wax has a great selection of used music that includes CD, LPs, and cassettes. The staff is helpful and pretty knowledgeable, and this store manages to have some pretty unique items for a used music store. You can also sell your old CDs here. more

Local Music 8/16/2005

Dr. Wax has a pretty good selection of independent/local labels, so if you're looking for something you perhaps couldn't find at Best Buy, maybe you should check it out. I like how all the genres/bands are written on tabs as opposed to the printed labels at chain stores...makes the place feel a little more personable. Prices are average, but they do have some used cds as well. more
