So I had to fix a mistake I made when I was 18. There is no reason for Yosemite Sam to be on my hip saying 'back off"" for about a 100 reasons.. So, I found this guy in the paper.. it seemed quick and big enough to get the job done since that is all they do. I made an appointment, went in, did the paperwork and next thing you know there was a guy blasting Sam off my hip. It took a few sessions but Sam is on his way off my hip.. not gone, but soon to be. From what I am told some tattoos are harder to remove, thus more painful.. but my experience was ok. I give these guys four stars, since they seem to do what they advertise... they are in it for the money, but you get what you pay for. more

This is the most ridiculous place of business I've ever encountered. They make you purchase the removal sessions in packages, or you can do one session at a time for double the price. They never have their lasers calibrated correctly, so your treatment will rarely be effective. BOTTOM LINE: LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! My friend and I found Dr. Tattoff while doing a search on the intenet. After we read the informative website and saw the really cool before and after pictures, I made an appointment and checked it out. I dragged my friend along with me because I was nervous and didn't want to go alone. They were really cool with us and explained how the laser tattoo removal process works, in a simple way that I could understand. I felt at ease right away. I'm about half way through the number of treatments that I need before it'll look like those after pictures I've seen. I can't wait! It's been a great experience already. I have researched about laser everywhere and I am a hairy person. I have wasted money on locations that I saw in newspaper advertisements. They don't even carry true lasers. That's what I got for being cheap. I went to a doctors office thinking that they carried a real laser that penetrated the skin into hair follicle. I spent insane money for each treatment, and the machine they carried was a true laser but it was old and very painful. I have lived in Encino for 5 years and I have never noticed Dr. Tattoff and one day by accident I did. I went in for the consultation with little hope that I would leave satisfied. I walked in and I was greeted by a woman with a very warm welcoming smile named Keeli and that made me feel comfortable right away. I filled out a form and then she gave me a consultation. She is very informative about laser and showed me exactly what it does. I have asked so many question and she has answered them all. It came to the pricing of my areas and I was thinking that for a location like this and for the top quality laser that I would be spending much more than I did at the doctors, and when she told me the price I wanted to do numerous areas because it was nearly 4 times cheaper. Then she explained what kind of packages they have there and I was even more surprised because that way I can get much more and save even more. At the doctors place I barely made it through the treatment and I cried, but there I was amazed how little it hurt, I barely felt it and two weeks later happen exactly what she told me, the hair fell out and it was smooth. My friend went to a medispa to get her tattoo removed a couple years back. First of all, they told her it would be gone in 4 or 5 treatments. At the end of her SEVENTEENTH treatment it was about halfway gone and she now has a permanent scar. Not cool at all. So when I decided to have my tattoo removed I did my research. After going to a few different places that specialize in laser tattoo removal, I finally chose Dr. Tattoff in Encino for one main reason: they know what they are doing, period. You can just tell when you walk in that they are all about tattoo removal and hair removal and that's it. I'm four treatments in and my tattoo is about 3/4 faded. It was a small black tattoo on my shoulder. They told me it would take probably 6 or 7 sessions during my consultation. So not only are they accurate when they tell you how long it's going to take, but I don't have a scar at all, and it costs the same or less than the other places I went to, so why would I go anywhere else? My girlfriend lives in LA full time and while visiting her recently I went with her to watch her get her tattoo removed. It's her ex-boyfriend's initials. I heard that tattoo removal takes a long time and hurts a lot. Well I've had three treatments at Dr. Tattoff in Encino and neither of those are true. Maybe it takes a long time and hurts at other places, but that's why I chose to go to Dr. Tattoff - because they focus on tattoo removal, not on waxing and facials and other stuff like that, which are important and all, but when I get a tattoo removed, I want it done by people who have actually been trained to do it, not the same lady who does my pedicure. Anyway, my tattoo is more than halfway gone, so I've probably got two treatments left. It feels like a rubberband snapping against your skin. Does that feel good? No, but does it hurt? Not nearly as much as waxing or any other beauty treatment that's actually worthwhile. Here's how good Dr. Tattoff Laser Tattoo Removal is - I went in for a consultation about a month ago and they told me how much it would cost to get my tattoo removed. It was way less than two other places I went to to get prices from, but I didn't have the cash to get started just then. I told the manager that I would come back in September for my first treatment, and she suggested that if I wanted to start earlier I should drive down to their Orange County location on July 30 because they were removing tattoos for free that whole day for an event called Operation Ink Off. So of course I did that since it was FREE. The nurse there said it will take another 5 or 6 sessions to remove my tattoo but it literally looks 1/2 way gone already. I already have my next appointment at the Dr. Tattoff Encino location booked for September. That's a cool manager to help me out like that. I would do the Operation Ink Off thing for all of my treatments but they only do it once a year, so I'm happy that they helped me out and it's not that much to just pay the rest of the way. I think my tattoo is going to be gone by the end of the year. If you're thinking about laser tattoo removal, this is definitely the place to go. My heavens, I went to Dr. Tattoff after hearing that Dr. Will Kirby was the doctor here. He spoke so highly of his skills and the place that I thought I'd give them a try to have a tatto on my upper arm removed. I was told that it would take between 5 and 12 treatments and that it would be virtually painless. Well, firstly, it wasn't painless at all. It hurt like hell! They should be honest about that. Secondly, after three treatments, it still looked like it had never been lasered. Dr. Kirby said that my tattoo was 'dificult' and would require probably at least 20 treatments to remove. The tattoo itself was only about 10 inches big! After the fourth treatment and no obvious improvement, I chose not to return to Dr. Tattoff. Instead, I chose to go to anothr tattoo removal center and it took them 6 laser treatments to remove that tattoo!! I was shocked that they so easily got rid of the tattoo when Dr. Kirby was telling me that it was 'difficult'. When I told the people at the center what Dr. Kirby had said, they said they weren't surprised and said that he seems to promise more than he can deliver most times. Well, I learned a lesson and hope people listen to me. Don't go to Dr. Tattoff!!!!!!! It will be a waste of your hard earned money. more
