First of all, he charged my insurance company 57 k for breast enlargement (he claimed that it was a breast that needed to be reconstructed because of a cancer, and that's false) and a simple nose job. He also did a chin implant on me. \r \r This goes to show how bad our legal system is. Criminals are not punished. I've just spoken to a lady from Idaho today, and she is one of the countless victims operated by Ellenbogen. \r \r How could he possibly be in the business? I thought they arrested him, but I learned that he's still destroying people's lives and faces, and bodies too. He did my breast augmentation, nose and chin and he literally made me want to die. It took 5 reconstructive surgeries to fix the breast, I still have the unsighty scars he left on me. The chin implant was misplaced and I had to go to the ER in the middle of the night because it got infected. The nose is still a mess and nobody wants to touch it since he removed all of the essential parts. Be careful, he manages to have his PR delete all of the negative posts. His staff is the worst. That office is a snakepit. I wish him the worst for ruining my life. The only thing he deserves is cancer in his nose. I'm so angry at him and I can't believe he's still mutilating patients. I was deceived and gave a deposit? read my story, please I?m Faustinha. I?m from Ohio. My parents are both Brazilian, from Sao Paulo. being brazilian, I have an ethnic nose. I was looking for a plastic surgeon specialized in ethnic noses since I?m brazialian/black. I flew to Los Angeles a few weeks ago to consult with Richard Ellenbogen, MD. I read very positive things about him on the National Enquirer. I saw him on TV and thought that he must be very good with noses. I consulted him a few weeks ago and he gave me a very bad vibe. They say always trust your gut feeling. My gut feeling was very negative. Anyway, he acted like he?s the guy. He told me that everybody goes to him to have their noses fixed after multiple revisions. I told him that I wanted to consult with Guyuron here in Ohio and Pastorek and he showed me a few pictures which, according to him, were patients who went to Guyuron and Pastorek and were dissatisfied and then went to Ellenbogen to have their noses fixed. Even though I didn?t like his attitude, I scheduled my surgery and gave a deposit. Now I want to cancel, but they don?t want to refund me.\r I came back home and I started doing my research. I basically wanted more evidence that he was the best and that I was wrong not trusting him. I was able to touch base with two of his patients who are extremely unhappy. I saw them on a webcam and I have to say none of them had a nose left. They both had skin with two holes. No underlying structure. The interesting thing is that their photos are on Ellenbogen?s website. Richard Ellenbogen put their pictures without their permission. It?s a long tricky story I?m not willing to disclose. The pictures on his website of these two ladies look very good, but their noses don?t even remotely resemble the pix on Ellenbogen?s site. After two unsuccessful rhinoplasties with very prestigious surgeons in both Chicago and NYC, I researched and found Dr. Ellenbogen was one of the most well-respected plastic surgeons and revision rhinoplasty specialists in the world. His office staff is friendly and accommodating, though going through an office construction remodel. Both his esteemed associates, Dr. Babak Dadvand and Dr. Gary Motykie were able the answer questions and Dr. Ellenbogen made me 110% comfortable prior to the surgery during my office visits, several phone calls and questions asked via the Internet and answered by himself, his patient consultant Colleen and his Marketing Director, Julie.\r \r Last Thursday morning, my Surgery was performed. Needles to say I was anxious, given this being my third, and I simply can not be more pleased with the result three days post op. \r \r My professional background is from the broadcast television business . after researching and seeing dr.ellenbogens site i was impressed and i went in for minor thing to adjust on my nose. turned out now i am completely deformed with uneveness ,really upturn and short nose...and after several surgeries still doesnt look normal.this has been the biggest mistake of my life. i shouldve researched in dept about this doctor instead of just believing what i saw on website. now i am searching for top revisionists to help me to look somewhat normal again and already so many doctors have turned me down. this really has changed my life in all aspects and has completely paralyzed me in so many ways. if i can give one advise do reaseach and research before you jump in. go to nose forum and hear what other peoples ACTUAL experience and see their photos. it has been over a year now and i am still in a mission to find someone who can help me...
