Dr. Coverman is amazing! I had been to 2 other dermatologists here in Austin who couldn't or didn't diagnose me properly, went to Dr. Coverman and he not only diagnosed my condition, but cured my chronic bumps after being misdiagnosed for 7 years! He did this procedure called BCA and I will be forever grateful! Thank you Dr. Coverman for being so awesome, ethical and professional. There is NO better dermatologist in Austin! Dr Coverman was wonderful when I was so sick. He took the time to personally call me when I had questions or test results. His support team was very friendly and professional. I could not have asked for a better experience! If I ever have a need for a dermatologist again, he will be my first pick. I have been a patient at Dr. Coverman's for almost 3 years. This is my favorite dermatology clinic. I have had acne on and off for over 13 years. When I moved to Austin nearly 3 years ago, my acne flared up really bad. I didn't even want to go outside or see anyone. I went to another dermatologist near Westlake and got a microderm, antibiotics, and topicals. Nothing seemed to help. Then I found Dr. Coverman's office and thought I would give it a try. I met Tammy (who is now my absolute favorite aesthetician ever). I also saw a P.A. there and between the right medication, laser treatments, and peels, I was able to finally have clear skin and reduce scars. No other dermatologist was able to provide me with the right combination. The technology (i.e., lasers) at Dr. Coverman's is one of the reasons that this is my favorite clinic. I had a pretty severe case of Rosacea when I first went to Dr. Coverman. I had been to several other Dermatologist with no luck. I have been seeing Dr. Coverman for the past year for laser treatments to the face and sclerotherapy of the leg. I had spider veins for over thirty years and recently some veins started to bulge and look purplish. After sclerotherapy treatment by Dr. Coverman, you cannot even see where the veins were originally. I was totally amazed and wonder why I didn't have this treatment earlier. I have been very pleased with my visits and Dr. Coverman's very caring manner. It's amazing how small and big differences can change your life. more

I've been to quite a few dermatologists over the years for an annoying skin condition I've had on my face around my eyes and on my cheeks since I was a kid and none have been able to produce the results that Dr Coverman has been able to do. My skin condition has all but disappeared! I want to recommend him for anyone who has had nothing but frustration regarding experiences when going to the dermatologist and also to those who have yet to see a dermatologist. I have been a patient of Dr. Coverman's for nearly a decade now and since that time, every local member of my family and many, many friends have also become his patients. \r \r Dr. Coverman and his staff always make me feel very comfortable and extremely informed. I have had a serious problem for over a year, and other dr threw some antibioctics at me and sent me home.\r \r Dr Coverman, sat and listened to the patient and actually,after one month!!!!! i have finnally gotten my problem solved\r \r This is such a great relief and in this day and age it is not often you actually find such a great dr.\r \r I highly reccomend him , what a good find...\r \r more

My first visity with Dr. Coverman I found to be very thorough. Your beginning paperwork is the best. It is to the point and tells you what to expect when meeting with Dr. Coverman. When meeting his nurses and staff you know you are in the right place. The are professional but yet make it a comfortable environment.\r \r In the examination room Doc shows that he is interested in learning about your condition and educates you on the steps to take to treat the condition if needed. He does not talk over you head. \r \r I will be back soon to have some moles removed. I will write a review shortlly. more

I saw Dr. Coverman for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and liked him a lot! He was very thorough, sent me to see 2 other specialists to rule out other possible causes, and prescribed a medication that worked very well for me! His staff is very nice, and I had a very positive experience with him! I would definitely recommend Dr. Coverman! more

I wanted a tattoo removed from my upper arm and a friend recommended Dr. Coverman. I set up my appointment (friendly staff!) and went to see him. He took a few photos and told me that he wanted to try out a new laser and gave me a very reasonable price if he could use my tattoo to try the new laser out. Well, after a few 'zaps' the tattoo was COMPLETELY GONE! I thought I would have some residual evidence of the tattoo but it is absolutely gone. I highly recommend Dr. Coverman for this procedure. I have been dealing with rosacea and adult acne for several years now. I have been to countless Dermatoligist and spent thousands of dollars in laser treatments and special soaps and cream (not prescription) that doctors have told me I just have to have. I was willing to spend the money as long as it worked. And, believe me, I gave all of them an honest try. Nothing worked...\r I saw Dr. Coverman and he immediately prescribed a couple different topical medication. He did suggest a soap that he sells at his clinic, but also said that if it was too drying then just use Dove. \r Within a week of my visit, my face was back to normal!! I hadn't seen this face in at least 3 or 4 years. \r I hope that he understands what a huge difference this made in my life. I am no longer embarassed to leave the house (there were times when my flare ups were so bad that I truly tried to avoid seeing anyone). I actually go some days without make-up. I would never do this before.\r I would highly recommend Dr. Coverman to anyone! Pros: Really listens and is current with new meds and treatments more

Dr. Coverman has become my favorite dermatologist ever. I went to him to look at a suspicious mole. He did a full skin check and I came away with a dozen suspects identified by Dr. Coverman. His approach is to be very aggressive and does not tell the patient to “keep an eye on it and let me know if it changes” as most doctors tell you. He is the doctor not me. How will I know if it gets worse? To my surprise several spots (ones that I would not have looked at twice) have come back positive and I’m glad he took the aggressive approach and caught these small spots before they became dangerous. \r \r Over this past year, on each visit I have been very impressed with the way he runs his operation. I have felt very comfortable in his office. His staff is extremely pleasant and very well trained. My last visit was a shining example of a smooth operation. My appointment was at 2:40, I was called into the exam room early at 2:35 and the room was already prepped and organized waiting for me to come in. His nurse Melanie did an amazing job assisting Dr. Coverman. Melanie was an artist with the local anesthesia injections. I never even felt even a pin prick the entire time. She was constantly explaining what she was doing and the purpose for each action. So much nicer than just being poked and prodded not knowing what’s going on. Dr. Coverman has me back on track feeling confident I have no surprises awaiting me concerning my skin. \r \r Thank you Dr. Coverman and Staff!!! Dr. Coverman served as my dermatologist for over a year while I underwent multiple surgeries to remove both large and small lipomas that were generating discomfort and pain. After having undergone ten such procedures, I can only say I am 100% satisfied with the outcome and Dr. Coverman. He was always willing and able to answer my questions and concerns regarding my treatment. While some may view his forthright persona as impersonal, I found Dr. Coverman to be a genuine caring practitioner. You may have to wait for Dr. Coverman a few minutes past your appointment time, but I definitely think it's worth it. I recommend him to anyone who is searching for a knowledgeable dermatologist. Dr. Coverman and his staff are very professional and friendly. I noticed yesterday that all the staff had matching outfits that kind of reminded me of bike jerseys. I told them that that reminded me of a bicycle team. They are a team, I go there maybe once a year and its always the same people, no turnover. Not only does he keep me looking great, he's a good businessman, knows to keep his staff happy. I went in this time to get my underarms botoxed, 2nd time. I am a sweater, and in my business I cant show up with perspiration stains, I can tell you this procedure works like a dream, worth every penny, I was in and out in 30 mins. anyway, great guy, knows his stuff, sharp staff, easy parking. I have been suffering from adult acne for the past 20 years and have seen many dermatologists during that time. I have dark skin and many doctors and aestheticians don't seem to have much experience with that - they tend to prescribe the same medications and treatments they would to someone with lighter skin. I liked Dr. Coverman's refreshing approach, especially with regard to moisturizers and sunscreen, given my dark and oily skin. I hope his treatment approach will continue to work for me. You know you're at a good doctor's office when the staff is friendly & organized. This also reflects on the Dr. himself. \r \r Dr. Coverman sees me for atypical moles. He's professional & considerate. I love his aggressive approach to remove anything that looks suspicious. He's the best! Pros: Meets Patient's Needs more

If you want an effective skin check for cancer, he is the doctor to go to. The full body check (removing your clothes) is necessary to check for any possible suspicious moles (skin cancer occurs many times where the sun does not shine). I would rather be safe than sorry and have a complete check. He has also followed my psoriasis and rosecia for years and has worked with to develop effective therapies. My daughters and husband also have been followed for acne and mole checks and we consider him to be our family dermatologist. All the office staff are great, too. They all are friendly and good at their jobs. Don't believe the other bad reviews -- he is great!!!! Pros: Understands the most recent treatment techniques more
