Best doctor I've ever had! 5/29/2011

When I got pregnant with my first baby, I had to find an OB (my regular GYN was only GYN). I called a bunch of different ones and chose Dr. Gardner because she was the only one that would get me in immediately - all the others wanted me to wait a month. She spent a whole hour with me for my first appt, going over EVERYTHING. I liked her right from the start. She is very professional and really knows her stuff. I had a few complications during birth and she was great. She came by twice while I was in labor and then there was a lot of chaos in my room when it was time to push. When Dr. Gardner got there, she immediately took control in a very calm manner, which helped put me at ease. She did a great job getting my son and I through a difficult birth and I will always be thankful for that. I just went to see her last week and was DEVASTATED to find out she is no longer delivering babies - especially since we intend to get pregnant soon. I came home and cried. I can't imagine having a different doctor. I have never had a doctor that I trust so much and feel so comfortable with - I feel like I can talk to her about anything. I can understand how some people think she comes across rude, but she just tells it like it is - straight up, no BS. I like that, I guess. The exam may be a bit painful, but I have never known it to be a pleasant procedure and she does a very thorough job. I feel like she really has the best interest of my overall health at heart. Even though I won't get to have her as my OB anymore, I absolutely plan to keep her as my GYN. (I am secretly hoping she will change her mind and start delivering again)! more

She listens and cares! 12/11/2008

She is an excellent clinician, and she has the ability to listen to her patients and care about what matters to them. Her office staff is sharp and helpful and her nurse is excellent. Often times it is impossible to find a team that functions so well for Patient Care, but this team of office staff and doctor does. The Arts and Sciences of Medicine is exact in some ways, and subject to best guesses and best reasoning in others. Dr. Gardner is good at both. more

Gardner Lynnell P MD - Is the best 7/27/2007

I went to Dr. Gardner for the first time today. My Husband and I have moved all over the country so I have seen may OBGYN's. For the first time in my life a doctor sat down with me to go over my history. She must have spend 45 minutes. She really listens and knows what she is talking about. She is the best and I would tell all my friends to go to her. more

Wonderful Doctor 1/8/2006

Dr. Gardner is very thoughtful, kind, and considerate. She cares about my overall health and is very willing to listen to my problems. In response to Ann W., Dr. Gardner spends a long quality time with her patients. Doctors who are full with patients spend no time with them and just want their patients' money. Dr. Gardner actually called me at my home at 8:30 at night to remind me of what would be happening during my surgery the next day. I would recommend Dr. Gardner to anyone needing an OB/GYN. more

Great OB 12/9/2005

I have 2 children, 10 years and 9 months, and went to the same Dr. both times. Dr. Gardner is my Gyn as well as my OB. She is caring, thoughtful (she called me at home one evening at 7 p.m. to tell me test results I was waiting for.) and insightful. She is willing to get you in when you need to be seen (I thought I had a kidney infection when I was 31 weeks and she had me come to the office at 5:30 even though they closed at 5 p.m. Turned out I was dilating.) I can't say enough good things about her. more

Very Paternalistic 11/24/2005

I had a hugh fear of having my first Pap Smear so I interviewed a few MDs here in town before I decided on Dr Gardner. At first she seemed to be caring and interested my overall health not just issues related to OB/GYN. THIS WAS A HUGH MISINTERPRETATION ON MY PART. The first clue should have been that on three different occasions there was no one in the waiting room (most great OB's here in town are packed with patients). Anyway, I requested that for my first time that only a Pap Smear be done and she agreed to that during the consultation appt. However, during the actual exam, while I lay crying, she did a breast exam and bi-manual exam without consent. I felt humiliated and when I questioned her she stated that she needed to do it because she does every exam that way and that it was what was best for me! Thanks to her I probably will never have another exam. I hope no one else has to experience this. more
