Wonderful Pediatrician 9/1/2012

Do to traveling quite a bit my children has been to numerous pediatrician and sometimes it's not the best experience. However, Dr. Alvis made us feel right at home and was extremely helpful and informative. If we are ever in the area again and I my children get sick I know extacly were to go, and I will certainly recommend him to anyone I talk to. more

Great Doctor! 8/30/2012

Dr. Alvis is a great pediatrician. It seems like everyone in our neighborhood takes their kids to see him! He is patient and kind and takes time to explain things to parents. We love him! more

Not impressed anymore! 2/22/2012

When they moved to their new location, it seems that they have bitten off more than they can chew. My daughter had to wait almost a week for proper medication for a sinus infection, yes a sinus infection, which was diagnosed the week prior but they forgot to call in the prescription and then told me they needed to see her AGAIN to re-diagnose her. WHAT?! Now, it seems that the MRI report for a shoulder injury is not good enough for him and now he wants to see her in the office, another $35.00 co-pay. I am starting to think that they are more interested in money, more doctors, and fancy digs, rather than the patient. FED UP! more

Great Pediatrician 8/8/2005

We have used Dr. Alvis for several years. Our son is now thirteen and we have talked about whether it is time to go to the "regular" doctor but he is a fan of Dr. Alvis - so are we. Dr. Alvis will take whatever time is needed to help his patients. The thing that we like so much is that he talks to the child - not "at" him. He listens to not only the parent but the child and is truly a listener. His office staff is very friendly and kid friendly with toys, books and videos/television. Rooms for younger kids as well as older ones. Waiting is not typically a problem and you can always get in with a sick child. Highly recommended by any parent who uses him - I have never heard anything but the best. I have to agree. more
