Dr Hart's Emergency Pet Clinic

My five year old beloved Golden Retriever passed away at home after giving birth to her litter. Since it was midnight, we were told to take her to Dr. Hart''s since they had freezers to keep her in overnight until we decided whether we wanted to bury her or have her cremated. This was during the winter, and upon arriving were told they had no freezer space. They suggested we leave her in the back of our truck overnight and allow the outside temperature to preserve her. What an inhumane way to treat a grieving family!!! more

We took my 5 year old dog there and we thought she had congestive heart failure she had foam coming out of her mouth and could not breathe. They said she was getting old and she passed right there at the vet. We decided to have her cremated and they said ok while still giving an attitude they said we could pick the ashes up in a week. two weeks later no ashes they said they would be in the next shipment they had a horrible attitude and hung up on us. Two weeks later still no ashes we went down there and raised trouble only to find out our dog was in their freezer and they had never even sent her out. We had already paid and everything. We threatended action and we got the remains back withen 72 hours but you know there are always those questions. If you value your respect and respect for your pets do not ever take them here Pros: 24 hours Cons: everything else more

I had a good experience with Dr Hart and I was very grateful that she was there to take care of my pet when he was dying and I was not at home. My regular vet was not available on a holiday weekend and told my friend to take him to an emergency clinic. Dr Hart took good care of him for 4 days till I could get there and was able to say goodbye. She was very kind and spoke with me a few times a day by phone. I couldn't let the other reviews go by without saying something good about Dr. Hart because my experience was not the same as theirs. I was charged a lot of money, but I checked around and that is what it costs, even more many places. The cost of vet care has really gone up in the last few yrs but I don't blame that on Dr Hart. She was also open 24 hrs a day in that office and that is not available elsewhere. more

If you truly care for your pet; DON'T TAKE THEM TO DR. HART. Depending on her mood, your wallet, your skin tone and where your live; she'll determine just how much she wants to help you. Understandibly she has to maintain a business; but somewhere along the way she completely lost sight of her oath as a veterinarian, and forgeting that not only are these our pets but in a number of cases, our family and loved ones. Why would she accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of her professional knowledge and competence to do anything but judge you but the fullness of your wallet. more

I would NOT RECOMMAND this vet, customer service is the worse I ever experienced. We were treated horribly, judged, and de-grade as pet owners. Her staff was not very helpful at all, very vague, just VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Cons: Poor Customer Service more
