Shelby has a brand new DQ which was built on the old site and is the largest DQ in the southeast. This "new" DQ is clean, has great food and excellent service. A friendly staff greets you as soon as you walk in and the food is prepared as ordered so there is no stale food sitting in a bin.\r \r Eating in? Place your order, sit yourself down and within minutes your order is brought to you. Two big screen TV's to watch as you eat. Take out or drive thru? You'll be in and out in minutes. Without question these folks understand customer service.\r \r This is a whole new DQ that you need to experience as soon as possible . more

Good Food 4/13/2005

The Dairy Queen in Shelby has GREAT hot dogs, chicken tenders and DELICIOUS Ice Cream. They can make an AWESOME Blizzard or milkshake. The only down side of this restaurant is the cleanliness or lack of. It always seems to be dirty inside this restaurant. They do not take time to clean off the tables or mop the floor very often. They do have good food though, usually I go through the drive-thru when I want some food from there to avoid the dirty dining area. more

In recent years, it has been changed to "DQ something different." Dairy Queen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. The company's stores are operated under three brands, all bearing the distinctive Dairy Queen logos and serving the company's signature soft-serve ice cream. Its stores serve a normal fast food menu that features burgers, french fries and processed chicken products in addition to frozen treats and hot dogs..
