keep on trying... 8/20/2005

Orlando is pretty much a wasteland and no one is going to argue with me about that. This little start up has a lot of gumption and I'm sure will eventually flourish. It's one of theonly places in Orlando that you can see new independent films. They have a film-slam once a week for local filmmakers to show their stuff, and a small gallery next doors for local artists to do the same. They are small ans struggling, but people should go and support them, because otherwise it's megaplexes for everyone. more

Fun art gallery and movie theatre 7/11/2005

The DMAC (along with the Mad Cow theatre) is the biggest attraction to the downtown "arts scene." The DMAC has a small gallery that always shows top quality paintings and photos. And the movie theater features little know films (films that even art theaters are too wimpy to touch). In the Winter they have a Hispanic film festive, which is a whole heck of a lot of fun. There's a small coffee shop attached to it, as well. more
