My experience with Downtown Dental Design has been simply wonderful. \r
\r
* Operating *\r
Separate visits were assisted by Kate and Veronica. Dr. Eslami coordinated seamless with both of them while working on my teeth. Only needing to speak in concise, specific langauge to each other, the assistant consistently had the next step prepped. It was almost like having a four-armed dentist.\r
\r
* Pain / Comfort *\r
I needed Novocaine for some work. First, she applied a topical analgesic. When she gave me the shot, I literally wasn't sure what she was doing. when she pulled her hand away, I had to watch to see if she was holding a needle to verify. I was given two more shots (for different locations), and I honestly didn't feel the slightest discomfort.\r
\r
* Cosmetics *\r
As part of my work, she applied composite resin to a site of receded gum. Although the intent was to protect the tooth dentin, it was on a ""visible"" tooth. Without needing any prompting, the work was clearly done with aesthetics in mind. The color matches flawlessly, and there is no discontinuity in shape or form to reveal the artificial material.\r
\r
* Follow Up *\r
Although I had a minor complication, it was exactly what Dr. Eslami asked me to watch for (aware that it wasn't always preventable). I left a message overnight. I was called first thing in the morning and given an appointment for later that morning. Then I walked out of the office, all fixed up, after just a brief visit.\r
\r
* Courtesy *\r
I don't know if I had too much caffeine, but for some reason I was peppering Esalmi with questions. She was very patient, took time to answer everything, and waited to see if I had anything further. The rest of her staff were all also sublimely pleasant.\r
\r
* Efficiency *\r
When I walked into the office for appointments, I was not relegated to the waiting lounge. I was quickly brought to a chair, and work quickly proceeded. The total time for each visit was surprisingly brief.
Pros: Skilled, Efficient, Courteous, Responsive, Great Staff
Cons: I don't have any reason to go back for six more months.
