In 2009 we lost our first son during pregnancy. The grief was unbearable and we were having no success getting pregnant again. After 6 months of trying to conceive a friend suggested we try acupuncture. We knew consistency was the key, but consistency is also traditionally expensive with things like this. That is how we discovered DCA online. They are a community clinic committed to using their knowledge to really "help" people by making treatment affordable enough to go as often as we needed. I started going two times a week and they did points for grief - which balanced me in a way that seemed impossible at the time - and after a few appointments they started doing fertility points. I got pregnant on my next cycle, and then continued to go throughout my pregnancy for stability and relaxation points. I don't think, I "know" with certainty that my beautiful little girl is in my arms today thanks to the care, on every level, provided by Laura and Jennifer. My hubby and I still go now. I go for relaxation and balance as a new Mama and he goes for sports injury recovery and balance. Trust me - whatever you have going on they can help, but the key is going on a regular basis, which is possible through their community cost approach. Thank you Laura and Jennifer - we will never forget what you have done for us. more

The treatments I have received at DCA have been absolutely wonderful! My initial appointment included a thorough health history, discussion of my treatment goals/primary concerns, and a relaxing acupuncture session where I immediately felt comfortable, at ease, and transported into the blissful "zen zone," as I call it. At all treatments I feel very safe and well cared for. I have had treatments from other acupuncturists that I did not feel value from. DCA is truly a healing place, with sensitive acupuncturists who focus on your well-being and not on your wallet. I very much admire and I am grateful for the DCA model of a sliding-scale community-style treatment option. The clinic offers a wide variety of Chinese medical treatment modalities and flexible scheduling times. I feel like my acupuncturist is truly concerned about my health and developing/establishing a healing, effective connection with me. I received wonderful treatment at Downtown Community Acupuncture. I was treated for a slight tear in a tendon in my right instep. After about three months treatments I began to begin playing tennis again. I was treated from June 2010 until August 2010. I used several modes of therapy including physical therapy, chiropractic and PRP. more
