The food really is wonderful. The menu is different from the usual fare and has a lot of unique items. The 'weiner' appetizer is excellent and the presentation is very nice. Went there for a birthday dinner and it didn't disappoint. The braised short ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and taste rich and flavorful. Prices are amazing, especially for the prix fixe menu ($30 for 3 courses!), which I intend to try next time. And don't forget to try the cocktails - very well made martinis. The food is amazing. It is an eclectic mix of german and eastern european food. I've had dinner there about five times and went for lunch twice. Try the beef brisket and the mushroom chowder both are simple yet out of this world. I found the staff to be just as eclectic as the food. During our first meal there I asked the waitress for a Chivas regal on the rocks, She took everyone elses drink order. When she returned to the table with the drinks, she asked me if chivas was a red or white wine!!! The Owner has made it abundently clear to me that he is the owner of the establishment. On all five occasions he came to the table at various points and introduced himself as the owner and then abruptly walked off. We get the point you are the owner. Please stop interupting our meal.
