Dowd Medical GYN in Reading Ma. Reception is slightly unfriendly. Service was fair but for the price they charge, look else where. My teenage daughter had an annual physical, they charged $400 "teen preventative exam", $150 Office Visit, $200 lab work. $750 is excessive for a gynecologist exam. I have never experienced anything so outrageous in my life. That is why I am writing a review. I usually don't write negative reviews but I felt I this one had to be written. more

New to the North Shore? Just had your first child? Need to find a new pediatrician? Look no further! Dowd Medical Associates is, in my opinion, the best practice around! The practice consists of 5 doctors, all of whom are friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful with the kids. The staff of receptionists and nurses are also friendly and helpful. There is always a nurse at the triage desk if you need to call with questions. They have a doctor in the office after regular office hours during the week and on Saturday mornings for sick visits. There is always a doctor on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year with excellent response time...trust me, I've needed to page a doctor on more than one occasion! They are a part of the Winchester Hospital system, and can use the services there for anything that may come up. more
