Douglas County Sentinel 1/11/2008

I don't know what your deal is, ""Person with the STRANGE name"", however the Douglas County Sentinle is the premier news sourse for West Atlanta. And as far as Leonard Woolsey's decisions, who the heck are you to even go there??? Are you on some kind of a SPY Kick. Because if you are, you stink. You SO DO NOT have your facts straight. And apparently you have nothing better to do with your time. Get a LIFE ""STRANGE NAME"" As far as the turn over yes, there has been some, however the executive decisions were made to drop the DEAD weight, like salesMEN that had parralel skills to your SPY skills. Gee I hope YOU find a job soon. But don't go to the Sentinel, something tells me that you couldn't sell advertising if it was FREE. more

Don't waste your quarter 1/10/2008

Chris Barker, the editor for the Paulding County Sentinel, focuses on local politics, which is about as exciting as reading the ""wet paint"" sign on a new park bench over and over again.\r \r If you plan on advertising, spend it on TV, and Radio, and stay away from your local paper. The Paulding County Sentinel (PCS) is one of three weekly local newspapers printed for the Paulding County market. The Paulding Neighbor (PN) and the Dallas New Era (DNE) being the other two. PCS has less than 4000 weekly circulation. Out of that, maybe 5 newspapers are subscribers, and the rest are either freely distributed, or put in convenient stores (approx. 500 papers max are sold in stores). Store sales are non existent, if at all! That leaves 3500 to be freely distributed. Let's just say it's very hard to track freely distributed newspapers (dispachers are notorious for distributing free newspapers into a recycle bin). \r \r If you really want to read this excuse for a paper, do yourself a favor and get it for free! Go to downtown Hiram (off of 92), to the courthouse and grab one. While you're there, go by the Hiram Coffee Shop and flick Helana off. After that, go to Albertson's Auto Mart and grab some free coffee. Whatever you do, don't give the Paulding County Sentinel or Hiram Coffee Shop a dime of your hard earned money. You'll thank me later. Pros: You can see what your Mayor is doing.. Cons: Who cares? Local politics is boring! more
