Amazing Photographer! 6/27/2007

I also got married last summer and asked Doug to be my photographer. I chose his designer package which allowed me to design my own wedding album. As an artist, I loved this option. He also had many more traditional packages to chose from. He was so fun to work with and gave us memories for a lifetime. I will got to him again for future professional photography. Also, you may be able to find a cheaper photographer, but I doubt you will find a more talented one than Doug! He is the best! Pros: Amazing Wedding Photos! Cons: Nothing! more

Bad pictures, bad service, expensive 12/6/2006

When I got married in Salado in 2006 I picked Doug Spiller to be my wedding photographer, because he had been working as a photographer in Salado for a long time and seemed to know the reception location. However, as soon as we signed the contract he became rude and very difficult to get in touch with. He spent 3 times the amount of time he told us to take formal pictures after the wedding, robbing us of 1.5 hours of our wedding reception and the pictures are not even good! His reception pictures are really worthless, not capturing any of our friends or family, and he left the reception 30 min. early even though there was another hour of time left in his contract. His pictures are very expensive $25 for each 8x10 and over $3000 for most of his wedding albums. Choosing him as our wedding photographer is the one thing I regret about my wedding. more

Priceless Wedding Photos 11/1/2006

I totally recommend Doug Spiller if you are having your wedding in Salado or even out of the state. He knows Salado so well and all of the wedding areas. The main thing in wedding's is doing our homework and finding out the who is going to fit and who is not! If it is i.e the date of the event, budget, or getting along personality wise. When you are planning a wedding and working full time things can get stressful. The nice thing about Doug Spiller is that from the very first time I met with them they meet with me after hours. I live an hour away and it was always so hard to get to Salado during the day. He would even met me on Saturday's. They give you a great handbook with all of the pricing and packages that they have available. He also has tons of albums for you to look at for you can get an idea of the work they do. Every photographer has there own style and reputation. I was drawn to them with the way they were very modern and unique. They are very straight forward and again it is up to your budget, what package you pick out. I picked out a six hour package and I used two hours for my bridal portrait which is totally amazing and then the other four for the wedding. They showed up on time and before the big day they ask who you want photos with and make sure they have all the names of the family members. During our ceremony I could not even tell they were there. They were so quiet and capture ever moment of our special day. We end up having a proof book of over 700 photos and they were having such a good time him and his wife stayed an extra two hours! Very professional and gets the job done! We have two beautiful wedding albums that I look through all the time, a bridal portrait, and awesome friend for life that we will use time and time again. I really recommend you visiting his studio and checking out his work. Everyone is on a budget and photos are one thing you will have for life. You forget about the price and look back on the memories of a life time Pros: Capturing moments you did not even know where going on! Beautiful and outstanding photos! more
