Doug Peterson is a really good counselor. he worked for the State of Utah for many years as a counselor, and has helped many people deal with the issues in their lives. He has recently set up his own practice in a discreet location (not sure where exactly - this is his home address, where he can be reached to set up an appointment.).
My sense of some counselors is that they are more interested in billing you rather than helping you, and/or keeping you in a state where you need to keep coming back (forever?). Others seem to just pass out medication that is of little help, and often just delays working through your issues, and sometimes makes things a good deal worse.
Doug really isn't like that; he really wants to help you, and will. He takes a cognitive therapy approach that helps you build on things you've discussed so you can move forward on your own -- which is the goal!
He's a really good person, raised many good kids who are off living happy lives, and has a good marriage relationship as well. He is very pleasant to talk to as well.
