Looking for a sports bar in Austin to see a game recently, we decided to try Legends. I was not at all impressed.

Try the Shaqs BBQ Shrimp. They have a lot of alumni clubs watching games there. They have a great crew of bartenders. Lot's of drink specials every night. Whiskey Wednesdays are my favorite night because they have $3.50 Jack, Crowns, & Jamesons. Speaking of Jamesons on St. Patty's Day they're serving up $3.00 Irish Car Bombs. They recently starting picking up UFC. They need more fans for the fights so they are going to have to remind a lot more people out there that they are showing the fights. It's a great place for Rockets fans to hang out. The bar manager is from Houston & so he's good to Rockets folk. The kitchen is pretty quick. You only have wait times when they are slammed. During the Dallas / Greenbay game it was insane fun. The Thanksgiving game rocks as well because everyone else is closed. Good food & cheap drinks and lot's of friends just travelling through the hotel makes for good singles hang out., more

Ok im not going to be negative. Like so many people can be, i mean these places are trying to make you feel good ok???? LoL.. It was decent, try the wings. I would of had a more pleasant time if i was there with a chick, but oh well.... Yes beep to be a bachelor 8-). Well anyways it was cool, and i think i might come around when the rockets play, and some texans games. Dont get confused by the 50 tvs you might start drinking more litterely<----- like that one. hahaha. Well i prefer the one in brenham, i guess, well not really. You should goto wingsn'more, and order a bake pototo if you dont like might post. more

Greatest Sports Bar In The N. W. 'Burbs! 9/17/2007

You have to pay attention to your directions to find Legends, but once you do you'll: A) Never forget how to get there and, 2) Want to come back. This little gem is located inside the Holiday Inn, of all places (183 SB @ MoPac SB: on the service road). Best Undiscovered Sports Bar 10/1/2006

It's not the BEST sportsbar but it is definitely the best undiscovered one. i have been here 3 times and never is anyone else there? There are 20-30 Tv's all showing different sports and they are very accomodating if you would like to watch football on the big screen when they are currently showing golf on it.. well it's not like anyone is going to complain? The bar food is good, all menu items are named after some icon like the Larry Bird Chicken sandwich, etc..If you're looking for a great place to watch a game that won't be crowded.. try this place!!! 183/360 in the Holiday Inn more

My Favorite Sports Bar 6/2/2006

Besides being non-smoking, Legends has a fun atmosphere, attentive waiters, lots of TVs, fair prices, tasty food, lots of parking spots, a variety of table sizes, and a good location in a safe area (though a little hard to find if it's your first visit). It also looks really clean inside. The only complaints I have would be the time it takes for the food to be prepared (but maybe it was just on a big game day) and the setting of some of the TVs to "panorama" screen mode so that players faces are stretched wider. Pros: non-smoking, food, atmosphere Cons: slow service once, tv screen setting, hard to find more

Legends Sports Bar 8/19/2004

While visiting in Austin recently, we wanted to go to a nice but casual place to eat. A young couple, who live in Austin, suggested we go to Legends Sports Bar. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was wonderful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was friendly and cordial. It was like being with family. I've never seen that many T.V.'s in one place before. A true Sports Bar 8/28/2003

I recently went to Legends to watch a game that I couldn't get on TV at home. When I arrived I was blown away by the 30 TV's and the fact that they had my game. The food was good and the service was great. It looks like I've found my new sports bar. Pros: service, game coverage, prices more

Legends's is an awesome sports bar. With over 30 TV's, including two large projectors, they were getting every game!! They were kind of hard to find, (at the corner of 183 & mopac), but it was worth looking for. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was great!! Football & food 8/25/2002

Recently I went to Legends Sports Bar located in the Holiday Inn in Northwest Austin. This place is awesome! I intended to go just to watch a football game that I couldn't get at my house, but when I got there is was amazing. This place has over 30 TV's and at halftime I played a little NTN trivia. The bartender was very friendly and acted like I was a long lost friend. It looks like I found my new "hangout." They have other stuff like pool tables, foosball and video games. The best sports bar in Austin. The atmosphere is perfect for Saturday football games. Plenty of nice screens, and the layout easily accomodates many different games at once (several even with sound, which is rare.) The bartenders are very accomodating, and they even have great food! (Try the chicken sandwich or the quesadillas.) Long happy hour with great specials for drinks and appetizers. Pros: atmosphere, food, happy hour specials Cons: need guinness on tap more
