LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Delicious food, lovely people, homey atmosphere. If there's a wait when you get there...wait! It'll be worth it. more

I decided to give Dot's Diner a chance because I saw a lot of good reviews for it. I was terribly disappointed. It was filthy, with stuff all over the floor and you could see that the grill area was even dirtier. We waited a long time for the waiter to come over. When he did finally grace us with his presence he was apathetic and seemed like he might be high. The food was decent, but definitely not healthy fair. Very greasy. And the supposed acclaimed biscuits were rubbery. We went up to the counter to check out and the gal that checked out the couple in front of us then turned her back and started cleaning jelly containers. While I agree that they definitely need to do some cleaning around the joint, it probably shouldn't be done right when a customer wants to check out. We waited at the counter for 5 minutes, with other employees walking right past us until someone finally helped us. Now I'm not fastidious by any measure, but this place was a huge disappointment. I will have to say that my attitude towards this restaurant is quite negative. I visited with my child and friend for breakfast December 30th. The waitress asked us to move when we found that we needed a high chair as we would be in a main isle. She asked us to move to the corner booth, so we did. The waiter in that section scolded us telling us that the restaurant was split up in sections, there were people waiting before us and we cound't just move where we wanted. I would have been more sympathetic of his predicament had he tried to help us resolve the situation instead of yelling at us. I was so upset we left telling him that he could give the booth to another customer. He smiled and waved goodbye to us. My office is just steps away from this restaurant, but I will have to say that I will probably never step foot in this restaurant again. Cons: This was the most blatantly rude waited I have ever encountered. more

dots used to be in gas station, but now in small strip mall. still has dinner feel to it. the huevos rancheros is out this universe. very homemade taste. muffins are great too. dots has always been a stop while in boulder. more

Great food, real people! This is what resturants should be like. Really fair prices too, fast service and great people watching. It's where the folks get there yolks. Pros: great food and downhome feel more

The food is always hot and fresh, the people are friendly and the music is nice. The person above obviously missed the point of this diner & should stick to Denny's if he can't handle a little bit of music w/ his/her food. Highly recommended! This place sucks! They frequently play intentionally obscure and annoying music and will just crank it up louder if you complain. The Service blows too. When there's a wait they force you to wait outside even in the snow and rain. I even saw them do it to a coule with an infant! Mostly just bad attitude all around. They seem to think they don't need anyone's business and really don't care if you come back. more
