I had to organize a group outing to a spa for a club I am involved with and stumbled upon Dorit Baxter. The spa was incredibly accomodating and went above and beyond to make sure that everyone was taken care of and pampered. The space itself is clean, well decorated and has a very relaxing vibe. The staff is also very knowledgable and everyone received great services for super reasonable prices. The facial is highly recommended! more

Good Prices, Great Service 11/15/2011

I've been coming to this day spa for 20 years and don't plan on switching. The prices are great and the service is top-notch. I've tried the bigger and trendy places with all the buzz, and won't trade Dorit for them. Dorit is simple, but the staff is friendly, serviceable, and professional. I want to try all their different services, but the basic facial and aromatherapy massage seem to be my favorites. Follow them on twitter for great deals if you're flexible to come in for last-minute treats! more

Dorit Baxter is the perfect spa getaway. Located in midtown on the west side of Manhattan, Dorit Baxter makes your forget about all of the noise and traffic and fast paced life we live in New York City. They have the best facials ever, a sea salt body scrub to die for, and full body massage that will leave you in wonderland. I LOVED IT and would recommend any and everyone to Dorit Baxter. You will definitely enjoy yourself and it's worth every penny. more

The Dorit Baxter spa is the essence of feminminity! For anyone who wants individualized attention and first class service. 10 years later and I still love this place! Ask for Chin for your massage. He's amazing, caring and his touch is magic! more

Reasonably priced as far as NYC day spa go. Excellent facials, especially the acne facial. Biata is my favorite aesthetician because she is very gentle & takes her time. No complaints, only compliments, about this spa. more

Great value and service 12/17/2008

In this economy, it's hard to fins a great deal in this city. However, Dorit Baxter is one of NY's best kept secrets. Great service, clean, friendly atmosphere, and I swear by "Chin, the masseus sent from heaven! I also like the personal touh that the owner Dorit gives, as she is there most of the time. I highly recommend! more

It's hard to find a good deal these days in NYC. But Dorit Baxter is one of NY's best kept secrets. Great servie, clean, friendly atmosphere. I swear by "Chin," the masseus from heaven! I always leave refreshed and rejeuvenated. Also, I like the fact that Dorit, is almost always there. She gives that personal touch that is missing in so many places of business. more

At Dorit Baxter, the service is very hospitable, and their products are TOP NOTCH - very effective to get nice skin, and are not irritating for sensitive skin, like mine. Every aestetician that I've ever had has been knowledgeable, kind, and gave a great facial. I really like that they will tell you what your skin type is and then recommend the best facial treatment to suit your skin. I really recommend it. more

Great massage 8/2/2008

It is easy to get there (57th@6th Ave)and the prices are affordable. The place has a friendly atmosphere and it is clean, looks well managed. The massage was 55 minutes for $89 plus tip. Great value in Midtown. more
