Don's Tree Service

While I have not had any services provided by Don's Tree Service, I do know firsthand that the owner is unreliable, untrustworthy, unprofessional, unethical, and unfriendly. My husband has done work for Don's Tree Service and he is still awaiting payment for his work. The owner's excuse: ""We had to take your salary and put it towards our bills."" Well, Doni, what about OUR family's bills? What I have learned about this company is that they are in it for THEM - not YOU, the client. So, do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. And, please, do not ignore the various reviews you've read about Don's Tree Service. I would've never supported my husband working for them had I read that they do not pay their employees; this is not an isolated incident.\r \r UPDATE: Since my initial post, Doni, one of the owners of Don's Tree Service, has contacted my husband and informed him that she will now be paying him LAST due to my truthful review of her business. This is an unfortunate retaliation. I feel that consumers should be informed and should inform others. And that is exactly what this review seeks to do - inform. I hope it has helped some in making better decisions for tree service. more

Watch my review on youtube. We have hired Doni twice before and were very satisfied with the work done. The third time is not the charm with this woman. She was hired to do general cleanup on both sides of my rental property. I also hired her to remove 4 large pines from the backyard and we agreed that the stumps would be ground and all debris removed. Since she had performed so well in the past, I violated my cardinal rule, and paid her before the job was complete, as I had to leave town to attend my neice's graduation. HUGE MISTAKE. While I was gone, my neighbors hired her to remove trees from their property, and she used my property to chip their trees up and spread them on my back yard. I came home to a sea of debris in my back yard, and two giant piles of my neighbors trees in the front yard, driveway and the street. She illegally dumped debris in the street that the county tried to fine me for it until I told them the situation. Doni does not return phone calls, period. I had to threaten her with a youtube video to get her to semi-finish the job.They finally removed enough debris to avoid a county fine, but I am still left with a drebis field in my front yard and driveway. Needless to say, the stumps are not ground. For three weeks she has been telling me they will get to it this week. After having paid Doni over $5,000, I now have to hire a debris removal company to come and complete the work.\r \r more

Do not do business with these people!! Donni has knowingly bounced checks at our place of business! Their own salespeople admit they know nothing about trees - they are cheats and crooks, do not trust them! more

I had a few tree companies come out and give me a estimate. Don's Tree Service had the best price and they did every thing safely and on time. more

Big tree fell on my House Dons came out and did a real great job. They had the entire tree off my house in under a hour. I was able to pay with my credit card. They gave a fair price and clean up was a breeze. more
