The worst place I have ever been. The bathrooms for one a horrid. The burgers are always undercooked, and the shakes are small and not worth the money. Need I say more?

Fun Decor 12/2/2008

Very 50's with lots of memorabilia hanging on the walls. Burgers are not as good as they used to be and you have to request that your milkshake be mixed well if you want it like that, otherwise, you can see the flavor separate from the ice cream in the cup. Jukebox is very cool and in the summer, you can just drive in and eat, fun. more

Don's drive in has the best shakes! Chocolate and ice cream - how can you lose. But they do something that makes them extra delicious. Add in a great burger and fries - its awesome. And the atmosphere is so fun! They're conveniently located. Check out what you're missing. more

Happy Days are here again! 6/30/2006

One of the things that I love about Don's Drive In is that it's like stepping back in time to "Happy Days." I love this restaurant because it has so much ambiance. They have fabulous hamburgers (we're talking a REAL hamburger) and their milkshakes are to die for. They serve some of their meals in these fun little 50s cars. (It's a cardboard box that looks like a car) It's a wonderful place to take the whole family. more

This is a small drive in that feels like you stepped back in time. Needless to say most drive in's are a thing of the past, but this one is right across from the Traverse Bay - great location. They have the BEST milkshakes, very thick and rich. They have all the other regular food items, but they are known for their shakes. Affordable prices as well. more

Old Fashioned Burgers & Shakes 8/11/2005

I used to work for this restaurant when I was in junior-high school (1987-1988). I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and have always made it a point to return when in the northern Michigan area. They offer award-winning hamburgers, real hand-dipped milk shakes & malts, along with a true "drive-in" service available during the summer. If you're ever in the Traverse City area check them out! more
