My father passed on 21 Nov 08, his remains and death certificates were released to Donald Trimble Mortuary on 25 Nov 08. The mortuary did not officially report my fathers death to the office of public records until 15 Dec 08 which caused a myriad of problems in the disbursement of my fathers estate and life insurance. Me and my siblings did not receive official copies of death certificates until that day (15 Dec08). Jessica; the young lady that handles the processing and reporting of death certificates, was nearly impossible to contact during business hours. After weeks of being put on hold (sometimes for 20 minutes), I was able to get her on the phone. She acted as if I didn't have the right to inquire about my fathers death certificates and simply replied ""I will have Micheal call you back about the certificates"". She then abruptly hung up on me. When my brother went to the mortuary to get the death certificates and my fathers ashes, he was told that a check for the full expense of my fathers cremation, urn and keepsake locket was required. To the date of this review, we have not received the locket, and yet, we have tendered payment in full. I would not recommend this mortuary to anyone. In fact, my most sincere hope is that this review receives maximum circulation, and that other ""would-be"" patrons of this unscrupulous establishment be forewarned of their shady misdoings
Pros: Memorial service was decent
Cons: unprofessional staff, billing, did not provide all that was contracted but required payment in full
