We have made at least a half-dozen furniture purchases here, including a custom-built entertainment center, plus a lot of finishing products. We have been very happy with the quality and the service. As I remember, it was a somewhat quaint, nice family owned business that invited me to their store after I bought my home in 2002. I had since forgotten the name of the store but I remember getting complimentary bottles of wood oils and when I ran out of Prelude Orange Oil, a very effective product for wood cleaning and protection that I have been using since I had the house, I had to look into the Internet to find who sold it. Rockler always came up on my Google searches, directly and indirectly. However, it was priced at $11.99 plus shipping making it almost twice the $6.95 price label on the near empty bottle I had. Maybe that's a fair price for inflation after all these years. Anyway, I did another Google search, but this time looking for a wood furniture store on Pacific Hwy, in Kent, WA, as I did remember it having lots of unfinished wood furniture. ( I don't know why I never went back there as I did have a good time perusing its aisles and looking at all the need items it had.) Lo and behold, Allwood Furniture showed up. I called and left a message wondering if it was open on the 4th of July. Anyway, it's a wonderful store and if it is still inviting new homeowners, then that's still a great plus. New name with same quality service as what Allwood Furniture provide. Continued upgraded inventory provides anarray of choices to select from with experienced employees to assist with the customer's requests. I have purchased from this store ever since it went by the name of Allwood Furniture, and find myself continuing to go through their doors for more quality products than what other stores provide. This family owned business was great to work with. They have a good selection of entertainment centers, dressers, nightstands, beds, and kitchen tables etc. if you don't see exactly what you like they will let you go through manufacturer catalogs and will order your item and have it shipped to the store. They do a nice job of custom staining and the prices are good for high quality stuff. We have purchased 5 pieces here and they all are in great shape even 2yrs and 2 kids later. Everything we got was all wood no junky particle board. However cabinet backs are plywood, although nice veneer plywood. more

This store is a wonderful place to find furniture. They have a large selection of unfinished and finished furniture as well as custom furniture. They have stain for the do it yourselfer or they can finish it for you. We recently had a custom entertainment center built just the exactally the way we wanted it, it is beautiful and it was a good price too. We had looked everywhere to find something we wanted and had never even thought about having one built, but it was easy to do. We picked the wood and provided general measurements, style and color! We were able to match our existing furniture perfectally. We had it delivered and they put it exactally where we wanted it. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
