Internet SNAFU, but worked out well. 1/13/2011

I was searching all over for a 2011 Wrangler 4 Door. I found one that was priced well under MSRP and after comparing 3 other dealerships I decided this was the jeep for me. Unfortunately there had been a mistake with the internet price. But 2 days later, they called me back and said that they would still honor the price. I now have my 2011 Jeep parked next to my 2007 Jeep. more

Dodge Ram Trouble 11/24/2010

Hello Right Now I'm still on the fence so to speak, simply because I have had some issues with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 which I have kept in mind that was used and that I will be paying for for the next 5 years, and I'm waiting to see if they take care of them, but up until now they all were very nice to me, we will see what happens after this! Don't waste your time 2/17/2010

My fiancee and I have been searching for a specific Jeep and found one very close to what we were looking for at Don White?s in Timonium. We had done our research and found that their prices were incredibly high. When I called and spoke to Ray, he told me they couldn?t do anything about the price but come in and see what we could do. This was my worst mistake and biggest waste of two hours ever, plus the 2+ hours it took me to get to their dealership and back home.\r \r Within 20 minutes of being there, I had dealt with three people already and got bounced back and forth which was very annoying to say the least. The salesman we had the ?pleasure" of dealing with was not much help, had no personality and completely turned me off, making me want to leave almost instantly. What was even more frustrating was the back and forth with his ?manager? and insisting we ?have a seat" while he goes to negotiate absolutely nothing. Like with all dealers,you have to play the games.I gave them a good fight for my price and in the end,got what I wanted at the price I wanted.Being from Pa,I was told it was required for them to collect the taxes and register the car for me.I will be getting the plates and all in the morning,but was told I had to get my own inspection(40-60 dollars more).If I paid my own taxes and registration,I would'nt have mind getting my own inspection,but I feel their not following through with their responsibility.So Why would a dealer loss a customer over 40-60$,just don't make sense.To early to tell if I got a great car.I think I did tho.Would not recommend until 100% happy. more

Oh boy did I get dooped. I mean I really made a terrible deal, and worse, it was a lease. A deal so bad that I have sworn off leases for the rest of my life. A deal so bad, I am currently seeking out every website, forum, and public venue possible to tell anyone willing to listen about the terrible experience I had at Don White's.\r When I applied for credit to finance a purchase, they were initially unable to come up with an offer that I was happy with, so I started to shop around. When I found a car I wanted to buy and tried to finance it, I found out that Don White's had ran my credit 18 times within 2 days!!!! It ruined me at the time. I ended up leasing through them. BIG MISTAKE. I called today to ask about the "refundable" excess wear and tear plan I purchased for over $600 and was actually told that there is no Finance Manager! There is no Finance Dept. They did however tell me that because of the way business is they cut the finance guys and now the Sales Managers are doing it. more

mixed experience 6/12/2008

I bought a new 2008 Jeep Wrangler in December from Don White's in December. The sales staff was courteous and helpful, and I got a great price. The service staff, namely Chuck, the Jeep servcie manager has always been courteous and helpful as well. I've been in for 2 oil changes already. They are much less sxpensive than Jiffy Lube, $14 per oil change, iirc. The first time took 2 hours, though. The second time was faster, at about 50 minutes. I have an appointment tomorrow to have a leak fixed under warranty. (That is a Jeep manufacturer issue, not a dealership or service issue.) This should have been addressed a long time ago, but they forgot to call me to let me know my part was in. We'll see if they have a loaner for me as promised. Will edit or post a new review after that.\r \r It is INTERESTING that most of the positive reviews were all posted on the same day back in November.\r \r I finally got around to updating after my experience with that leak on my new 2008 Wrangler Unlimited. more

I can honestly say I had a world class experience buying my first car from Don Whites. Not only did they do everything they could to help me find the car of my dreams, but they made the experience memorable and did everything they could to make me happy. There customer service is unbeatable and I highly recommend them. more

Very very good. I was impressed. I do not drive the beltway so our sales guy Ian came to my home picked my husband up. No one that I have ever delt with has ever been so willing to put the customer first. I would absolutely buy a vehicle from them again.\r They really do put the customer first and I have actually refered a friend to them. And would do that again more

JEEP PURCHASE 11/12/2007

My wife and I recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler from Don White's for our twin daughters who had just gotten their licenses. We had approached another dealership first, but the professional and courteous and bend-over-backward treatment we received from the staff at Don White's was exceptional. They returned our calls consistently and they found and retrieved the Jeep we wanted right away. My wife really wanted this to be a special experience for our daughters, and the staff went above and beyond what you would normally expect from a car dealership to provide that once-in-a-lifetime-experience for them. They brought the jeep into the showroom, wrapped it in a bow and carried out a little skit for the benefit of our daughters. I would highly recommend Don White's to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. more

I have been servicing 3 Jeeps there for a number of years. My wife purchased her Jeep there in 1999, and has always received superb service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always helpful. I intend to buy my next new car there, and would recommend the same. more

Go Elsewhere 2/22/2006

I tried to buy a Dodge Ram from them - I had done my homework and look around. The Ram they got for me was sent from another dealer here in town. When they got it at Tomonium the Manager tried to charge me $2000 than the sticker THAT WAS STILL ON THE RAM!! I had my check book out ready to write a check for it and he wouldn't come down. It worked out for me though because the next day I went to Musselman's - got the same exact Ram, for $4,000 LESS>>>>> than I was willing to pay Don White. They are not worth dealing, and you will NEVER get off any mailing list they put you on. more

Don't bother! 2/7/2006

I purchased a new Durango a few years ago from this dealership, and I am still feeling the whammy!! The one they sold me had been wrecked, I found out much later, but I was never told. So my front bumper has never lined up correctly and never will. The manager of the service department called me a liar once when I told him it made strange noises, but I found out later that the ball joints all needed replaced due to a recall- that was what I was hearing. Also, one time it was being returned to me at work, the guy driving it was squealing the tires when I happened to walk outside as he was pulling up to park. This is a very short list of issues I had with these guys. I have even called them and told them to take me off of their mailing list as I was calling a lawyer if I got anything else from them. I still get mailings. The worst dealership I have ever fealt with. PROS: none!!!!! CONS: everything!!!! more

Great dealership 11/16/2005

I've dealt with Timonium Chrysler Dodge on a number of occasions, and each time I was treated with respect, courtesy, and friendly service. I got a good price on my vehicle. I had a nice salesman. They have a huge selection of Dodges, Chryslers, Jeeps, and used vehicles. My only complaint is that they only tend to carry newer, lower mileage, used vehicles. more
