I do have some mechanical experience so when my fiance's check engine light came on I replaced the plugs and wires. But when our truck still had a miss we took it into Don Perry s. Ray Perry and his foreman James immediately jumped on our truck and then proceeded to show me tech bulletins about this particular problem with the engine we had in our truck. It needed a new engine. Not what I had in mind and definitely bad news for me and the missus. However James and Ray showed me definitive proof and made me comfortable knowing they would find a solution, and try to get away from that faulty engine. On Friday I dropped off the truck, on Monday morning Ray had found a solution. Thursday afternoon I had a call telling me our truck was ready. We picked it up Friday, not only did they get away from our faulty engine but we upgraded to a larger engine and got a few extra horse power. Ray Perry even gave us a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on the used motor, all for a reasonable price. Thank yo more

You simply can't find a more honest, fair and knowledgeable mechanic. I have been using Don Perry for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. He has done everything from minor repairs to my cars to replacing the entire engine in my Suburban. He gives as fair an initial diagnosis as possible. Sometimes when a mechanic gets into a repair he finds more problems than anticipated and when this occurs in Don Perry?s garage he always calls to discuss the issue before repairs are made. He does not ?over repair" or "over diagnose". It never fails that when I go to pick up my car Don shows me the defective parts and explains why they needed to be replaced. My car is always washed and cleaned too! Also, you won?t find a more clean and tidy shop and a more neat and clean staff. They pay attention to detail. Don Perry has repaired my son's car twice - both times he diagnosed the problem and made the repair at a very reasonable price. He only fixes what is broken and he does it right. My son is in Ft. Worth attending school and we are 16 hours away. I am thankful my son found a trustworthy mechanic since we are so far away. I would highly recommend Don Perry to anyone. more

I have been taking my cars to Don for over 7 years now and trust him implicitly. In my opinion, Don operates the best auto repair shop in town. Don tells you like it is... and, if you decide to have the work done.. You can depend that it is done right! And, he always backs up his work. If you have a problem that is outside of his shop's abilities, he will direct you to other straight shooters. I just read Genie L's review on his shop and I confirm Genie's comments 100%. Mister Perry is a slight man in a starched long-sleeved shirt with his garage name on the left breast. This small detail speaks volumes about the kind of care you will get at his garage, where the service is excellent and the information you will get is honest. Mister Perry will tell you if the needed repair is too expensive to be worth it, and will offer advice as if he were a trusted uncle. His news isn't always good, especially if you have an older car, but it's always dependable. more
