I used to work at a local Dominos, so I know what the good and bad points are. They are very stingy with the cheese on their pizzas. The upper management is very strict about food costs and also about customer satisfaction, but MORESO food costs. I have ordered an ALL PROVEL cheese pizza about 6 times and have only ever gotten a standard pizza. Imos, is a local competing chain... they LOAD their pizza's with real provel, which has a very creamy quality and is not at all like mozzarella. Dominos has very nice, real yeast dough! That is the best thing about them. However, they rarely cook their pizzas enough to fully brown the top. I remember how the cooks used to hurry them out of the last foot of conveyor to get them out quicker. The pepperoni's are a little bland, and they used to be better, cooked up crisp and had a zing. The pork sausage and beef sausage are just gross. They are pre-cooked and come from the food commissary. When I worked there we ordered and made our own. It made a huge difference. The onions are very mild and cook up with almost no flavor. Once again they are mild onions, pre-made from the food commissary. They are always the fastest delivery around. The Philly Beef Sandwich used to be amazingly good. They used real steak cuts and it had a great savory flavor. Now they are some horrid beef substance pressed together from little bits of sinew and I would assume nerve tissue, etc. The Veggi sadwich is still nice and ACTUALLY HAS PROVEL on it. The Ceasar salad is made off the premises and depending on how fresh, is pretty good. The drinks are garden variety and they would benefit from fountain beverages and some sort of TEA. Basically, they need to improve on their product as they charge a premium price, so give people what they pay for, and get rid of the gross meat products. Take a little initiative and don't be another clone of every other Dominos in the area. You can improve your business and your profits. I know, I have done it before.
