I have frequented this restaurant on several occasions and have always enjoyed the food and service. But Saturday night was a totally different "experience." We had a party of 8 and made reservations for 6:30. We arrived at the restaurant and were promptly seated. The restaurant was probably 90% full but by no means slammed. Things went downhill quick. At 7 the waitress finally came around and took our order. She asked would we like some bread while we waited. Of course we said YES, practically starving at this point. At 7:25 she brought out salads. Still waiting on the bread. At 7:30 she brought out 1 basket of bread for a table of 8. The food finally came at 7:45, an hour and 15 minutes after being seated. 2 out of the 8 orders were wrong; wrong sauce on 1 and chicken instead of veal on the other. "I could have swore you said chicken" was her response. So much for the customer is always right. At this point my friend was so hungry he accepted the chicken not knowing nor trusting how long it would take to correct the mistake. The other person refused the incorrect sauce and 20 minutes later her order was corrected. Another couple shared a meal but were never given utensils to seperate the large plate of ziti. At 8:15 one friend at the table went to complain. She was met with a terrible attitude by the manager. His response was that large partiesshoud allow a 2 to 2 1/2 hour timeframe to enjoy the "experience." At least she convinced the manager to comp the veal (chicken) dish. At 8:30 we finally left. Never was there an apology on anyones part for the TERRIBLE service! But you can rest assure they charged us the 20% tip for a party of 8.
